Meh, sports don’t have to be competitive. Exhibitions aren’t usually competitive, and 60-95% of the time it’s mostly practice and training exercises… in the athletics, it’s often 99% training exercises... Especially if you’re a sprinter/jumper, then it’s training all winter for about 5 minutes of actual competitive action—assuming you’re in multiple sprinting/jumping events and rounds, as a 100m is like 9-12 seconds of running (~30 or so if you’re lucky and make it through all three rounds), long jump, triple, and high jump might be less than that. Then some, like Marathons, have a mixed competitive angle where the winners get the top renown, but even the last one to finish will get cheers and celebration.
