Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo Intellectual Properties

It kills me how many Nintendo IPs are dead, dormant, or underused.
Nintendo has just about more success, revenue, assets and profits than ever in their history. Yet they seem to be playing things much more safe than in the GameCube/Wii days, for instance.
Bring back F-Zero with a new game. Remake the first Chibi-Robo. Tell us about Pikmin 4 and if it's still happening or not. Make a new Star Fox with a good amount of content. Translate Mother 3 after all these years. Make another Mario Party. Bring back Mario Strikers and Mario Baseball. Make a new WarioWare and Wario Land. Give Waluigi a game. Make a new Kid Icarus (or at least remake Uprising). Make a new Wave Race game. Make a new Nintendogs game.

I am not sure if Bayonetta should be included on this list, but it currently doesn't appear to be listed. I read online that this IP is currently jointly owned between Nintendo and Sega. That said, Nintendo is only part owner in the Pokemon IP and that is on this list and so I am not sure if we are including IP that Nintendo jointly owns or only IP that is fully owned by Nintendo.  I just thought that I would throw it out there for discussion.

Very impressive list, though. I really cannot think of much else that might be missing from it.

Nintendo owns Pokemon IP, every Pokemon and their own name. They own more than just 1/3 of the IP.

Bold: Nintendo only owns Bayonetta 2 & 3, the IP overall still belongs to Sega.
