A port or remaster seems unlikely. I do see something like a dark souls situation. Spiritual sequel that does spawn multiple entries. Better than ever while some fans saying the original was the best.

Yes, because Insomniac was totally the one who made Jak and Daxter and it tooooootally wasn't Naughty Dog...
