I gotta give it to 2011.

Uncharted 3, Portal 2, Skyrim, Modern Warfare 3, Crysis 2, Rayman Origins, Resistance 3, Deus Ex Human Revolution, Batman Arkham City, Dead Space 2, Killzone 3...

It was also around this point that multiplatform games stopped being mostly markedly inferior to the 360 versions in visuals and performance.

I'd say 2009.

From incredible software (Killzone 2, inFamous, Uncharted 2) to the hardware revision and price cut, to a great marketing push, the PS3 started to really turn it around.

2012.

Gave my 2 of the best TPS games that gen. Binary Domain and EX Troopers. I know VanQuish was the best but those 2 are great as well.
