Capcom(1/28) - Upward revision by good game sales

  • Monster Hunter World: Iceborne - over 7.2M
  • Resident Evil 3 - 3.6M

Marvelous(1/29) - Upward revision by good game sales for Switch

  • Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin - 850k
  • No More Heroes(DL) & No More Heroes 2(DL) for Switch - Strong sales at NA & EU
  • Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town - Preorder number is very good. Aim for the highest sales through the franchise.

I am not surprised to see good news here, and I expect their to be more good news as more reports are released. COVID may have been bad for a lot of industries, but it was a huge boon for video games.

The situation is clearly divided.

Koei Tecmo and Bandai Namco have adjusted by contract development of Nintendo's games. Marvelous succeed to grab the perfect situation for their main franchises. On the other hand, Sega has missed the timing to fit the market...
