The first thing Giant Bomb says on their launch day PS5 stream is "GOD FALL IS BAD!" Like the very first minute of the PS5 stream lol. Oof.

But for some reason we have to believe the media was bought by Sony to only talk good about them.

Considering how Giant Bomb started you're not really making a compelling "gotcha!" here.  Their attitude is in no way indicative of what the rest of mainstream games media may/may not have been financially compelled into selling.

Media seemed pretty neutral on the consoles so far. They have been reporting devs opinion. Sure there were extra coverage of Xbox because Phil Spencer have been very vocal. Also there were more nasty rumors from PS5 since Sony have been less vocal. But all the "Sony is paying devs and media to sugar coat PS5 and hide its weakness" can't really be proved with evidence.

Mr Puggsly: "Hehe, I said good profit. You said big profit. Frankly, not losing money is what I meant by good. Don't get hung up on semantics"

Azzanation: "PS5 wouldn't sold out at launch without scalpers."

It looked uninspired from the beginning, I'm not all that surprised.

You mean *without evidence, right?  Because I get that.  At the same time, using Giant Bomb shitting on a PS5 console-exclusive as evidence of games media not being bought out holds no water because of the disparity.  It's tougher to consider GB being potentially influenced by goodies when their founder was previously fired for not giving into that before.

Bloomberg have several reports negative towards Sony as well. But still you got it, there isn't any evidence of Sony buying the media, even more when well Xbox had a lot more coverage.

Giant Bomb is about as unbiased as it gets. If anything I respect their brutal honesty as a general rule.

Bite my shiny metal cockpit!

The co-op might give it extra life. Hacking and slashing away with friends sounds fun.

Yep, that's what saved Knack. It was actually a lot of fun to play with my then 4 year old.

Although critics are being rough, I've heard it's not AS bad with the general populace. XBL friend who got it has given surprising praise to it. I wonder if it has crossplay, b/c I can't remember if he got it on PC or if he even bought a PS5 yet.

Watching GB play it. It just seems average best. bad at worst. It's a PS2 game on PS5 if that makes sense. You go through a small room after room. Kill the same enemies over and ove and will repeat those areas many times. Obtuse about objectives. Levels don't end. You have to end them. it's kinda weird. If I had to make any comparison. It is to something like Warframe what Lords of the Fallen was to Dark Souls but that's a loose comparison. I could see myself picking it up for $5-10 IF the single-player was allowed to be played offline. That's the other issue. Even single-player when not interacting with anyone online still required online. This is the thing people shit on Xbox One policies before launch and praised PS4 for not doing. So unless they patch that out. I find it silly to pay $70 for this.

Sure since it have exclusivity on consoles for PS5 there are probably a lot of trolls, but still the user score on meta is even lower than the critics.
