Forums - Nintendo - My rant about Namco on their games on the Wii

First we ski now we cheer, how many we titles we need to see we in the title anyway? And why you need another wiimote for we cheer game? So one wiimote isnt enough for one player so you need two wiimotes already?

And whats this game?

http://www.gametrailers.com/player/usermovies/201686.html

if not for berryz koubou and c-ute playing that game I never have interest. Its just click trivia game it can be done in a flash player on internet FOR FREE. And whats with the track and field revival peripheral? Whats that? Do they think japanese people will buy that thing after they purchased wii fit with only mini games?

And whats this? Soul Calibur IV:

http://www.gametrailers.com/player/32927.html

This graphics can be done in gamecube wether it uses its limit or not so why not the wii which is 2 times more powerful than the GC?   And its exclusive only to PS3/360 while the Wii owners only have Soul Calibur Legends.

And even now, Namco dont want to release Tekken 6 even we all know that kind of graphics in Tekken 6 can be also done with the Wii... *sigh* Sorry Namco fans out there but Namco dont care for the Wii.

Sorry I just want to express my opinion after the announcement of Soul Calibur was only on PS3/360 while we only have legend swords something and another tales sequel.

So wait, do you have some official specs for these games or something? Or do you just assume they can be done on the Wii from looking at a trailer?

And cmon, Tekken 6?!! Even if Namco was in love with the Wii, and had a bunch of million sellers on it (we're talking Sega love here) they still wouldn't release Tekken 6 on the Wii because the fanbase would be completely unfamiliar with it.

So if you're asking him for official specs on those games to back up his opinion, I assume you have official statistics on the console preference of every Tekken fan.

Hypocritical much?

Every Tekken game (except one on the GBA) has been on a Sony platform.

But that was a nice way to unnecessarily add in that jab at the end.

WELL Tekken series was really an arcade game, infact, there are more players playing tekken series on the arcades than playing it on the consoles. Its just that the Playstation brand was popular at that time thats why namco want to port the game in PSX/PS2. Infact, the graphics in Tekken Tag tournament in the arcades was a PSX type version of the game before it ported in PS2. And Tekken 4 was first released in the arcades before in the PS2 then Tekken 5.

This is the only time that a console version was released first before the arcade one maybe because theres no HD arcade yet.

and yeah...

"So wait, do you have some official specs for these games or something?"

Well the Wii cant do HD but it can do what Soul Calibur do in terms of graphics. Everyone knows conduit right? And the graphics looks like genji from PS3 and thats the worst PS3 I've seen so far even graphically.

I don't think it's too unreasonable to use two wiimotes for the Cheer game. The nunchuck cable is probably too short for the arm waving bits. Besides, as WiiPlay sales show, most people have two wiimotes already. :p

Final Fantasy was completely unfamiliar to PS fans because it had always been on Nintendo platforms.

Ubuntu. Linux for human beings.

If you are interested in trying Ubuntu or Linux in general, PM me and I will answer your questions and help you install it if you wish.

And yeah, I forgot, Namco also made a Naruto game just for the PS3. We know that this game was a mediocre game, most anime games do, but this sales of these games alone can earn big money by franchising in japan alone. So why not developing it for the Wii which is more popular? Because Namco sorry for the term has "bias" for the PS3:

and afro samurai another anime game only for 360/ps3:

Sorry to say this for Namco fans that believing that namco have huge support for the Wii but lets face the truth, namco dont care for the Wii so as midway, Atlus and Konami but I never care for those publishers anyway... What i care abiout are these 4 big publishers in japan: Capcom, Square enix, Namco and Sega but I think Namco just blew the opportunity out of the water. It will be great for fighting fans if Soul calibur will be on the Wii and it will have huge profit for namco but as we speak the Ps3 and 360 in japan is almost dead there and they still want to release there titles in these platforms.

How will arcade fighters work on the wii.

I suppose you can use the wii mote and nunchuck for punching, but then you would have to use the A and B buttons for kicking

You hate on Namco for doing this, so perhaps you could give me an example of a "HD" game that's made it to the Wii alongside PS3 & X360. I'm not saying it has to retain "HD" graphics or all the content of the "HD" versions, it just needs to be released on the Wii along with the HD versions.
