Everyone has bad luck. for instance I was second behind Rol I think on that Autumn track, but somone sent a POW perferctly in time for me to drop off the end of the boost ramp (the one before the shaking net) sending me to last.
I despise POW blocks, and I am glad there is now a way to partly avoid them but it's still not great if on a corner, and sometimes I have the timing wrong.
Also can someone tell me what you do to get a fast start, I swear a few people have told me to just press A when the noise for "2" chimes, but that just results in a spin start... What I do is hold down A just before "2" but then I have to let go and press it again just as the final chime sounds, which is awkward and I am not that great at it, so if there is a simpler way I would like to know.

Didn't I take part in the first two races yesterday and not only in the first?

You start accelerating about halfway between 2 and 1 being displayed in the countdown. According to my experience, it's slightly before the second chime ends.

I did notice someone was disconnected in that race, did it not tell you? If it was you then it seems you didn't notice? so were you actually still with us? (what position did you finish in?)
@NJ5, thanks, I will try that.

@TWRoO:
Your Time Trial times are pretty good, how did you do that without a superstart?
I finished 2nd last in the second race....you see I'm not after points or anything

Well Like I said, I have been doing it differently.
If you press and hold A between the 3 and 2 chimes, and then just before the race starts let go and press it again you will get almost the same result... however it was difficult to pull off so I was often restarting my time trials after failing the launch.
Also having tried this proper method now, it is a faster start too. (I wil have to improve some of my times now)
