Yes I noticed this too.

The first GP I finished 3th, 2nd, 5th and forgot about the other race, but the results said finished 5th, 5th and 7th. Because of this, the first GP wasn't very fun at all. On the second GP, things were ok except for the last course, where I finished 3th/4th (was matter of hundreds of a second between me and someone else), but the results said I finished 5th.

Hope next time things are ok again.

So i wasn't the only one to experience lag.
Rol was evading explosions by just suddenly appearing to the other side of explosion, suddenly appearing in front of me. It happened few times with Mariokartslaaf too and once with Just_Ben. I got dropped in ranking quite a few times, just like my wife too.
Well, shit happens. Let's hope the lag is gone next time.

Oh my redshells didn't hit, because it seems people where "fast" enough to escape them. Once it turn right arround to hit me (Yes my own red shell)

Overall, not much competition today. I already miss Routsou and Larry Lion only joins us every now and then.


Shows how strange the races were as I was getting a boost start in every single race.

It was the lag, since to me you didn't get a single turbostart. It was hard to compete with you, when ranking shows that i'm driving in the first place until i cross the finish line. And another strange thing was, that in Sherbet Land, map showing that i have quite a lead, 2nd laps last item boxes gave me a blue shell.

Well and I wondered why I was starting so fast compared to the others, only seeing them popup in front of me afterwards.

 


I guess everyone saw that happening from time to time. At first i thought it was my connection, since two was playing with my Wii, and that added to a little overcrowded server. But since in the 3rd GP there was just me, and other people had the same issues, it was the server. It also took a really long time for the race to end after everyone finished.

I didn't experience others popping up in front of me, because I had turbostarts and was driving the first few turns flawlessly.

The only other odd things I experienced besides the "nobody can pull off turbostarts" thing, was in the races I didn't win. I didn't notice that Altair passed me on DK Mountain in the final lap, although it doesn't surprise me since he often finishes in front of me on this track due to the shortcut. On Yoshi Falls I finished 4th, but in the results it was displayed as 5th.

Didn't really matter though, because I won all other races and therefore all GPs yesterday.


Except for Sherbet Land i believe. In Maple Treeway, i was driving the second lap as number one, when all of a sudden you popped infront of me while flying in the air after the cannon. Or the end of Dry Dry Ruins, i finished first, my wife second and i saw you finishing right after my wife, but in the ranking, you were the first. No wonder why there weren't a lot of red shells flying around.

From the 3rd race of the 1st GP to the end of the 2nd GP I was being classified 1 to 3 places behind where I finished.  Might have even started happening from the very 1st race just that I didn't notice it.  In Maple Treeway for example I could clearly see myself ahead of you when I crossed the finish line but was classified as 2nd while you were given 1st.  It was so annoying and frustrating that I almost didn't even bother taking part in the 3rd GP.
