I guess everyone saw that happening from time to time. At first i thought it was my connection, since two was playing with my Wii, and that added to a little overcrowded server. But since in the 3rd GP there was just me, and other people had the same issues, it was the server. It also took a really long time for the race to end after everyone finished.

I didn't experience others popping up in front of me, because I had turbostarts and was driving the first few turns flawlessly.

The only other odd things I experienced besides the "nobody can pull off turbostarts" thing, was in the races I didn't win. I didn't notice that Altair passed me on DK Mountain in the final lap, although it doesn't surprise me since he often finishes in front of me on this track due to the shortcut. On Yoshi Falls I finished 4th, but in the results it was displayed as 5th.

Didn't really matter though, because I won all other races and therefore all GPs yesterday.

Except for Sherbet Land i believe. In Maple Treeway, i was driving the second lap as number one, when all of a sudden you popped infront of me while flying in the air after the cannon. Or the end of Dry Dry Ruins, i finished first, my wife second and i saw you finishing right after my wife, but in the ranking, you were the first. No wonder why there weren't a lot of red shells flying around.
