Forums - Microsoft Discussion - What do you think the big xbox game pass announcement is going to be?

I think xbox game pass is going to be combined with EA play (formerly known as EA access and EA origin). There is suppose to be some big xbox game pass news soon. Wouldn't be surprised especially considering EA probably wants people to access their games anywhere with the cloud. Thoughts?

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

That is about as likely as the Green Bay Packers winning another super bowl. In other words, nope.

Atleast its a bigger chance than the yankees winning the super bowl

-Some kind of subscription plan that gives you a discount on the 9th gen Xbox.

-Big digital discounts if you're a subscriber

-Some kind of family plan like $20 a month for two profiles

-An insane partnership (like coming to Nintendo)

Something like that.

I'm thinking it's a new tier that includes a Series S for $24.99 per month.

- On a stormy night, Alan Wake discovers something crawling around in his backyard. Some grotesque creature flies out at him only to be killed at the last second by a pistol wielded by Master Chief. Together, they walk to the cemetery to find Gravemind had returned. When the flood have them surrounded, suddenly music can be heard playing. Out comes Banjo playing a... Banjo, and the music causes the floods brains to explode. But who sent Gravemind? The three of them travel to an odd looking ship that had just landed to discover Samus Aran and talk to her. She is convinced they are working for the Mother Brain and the four of them take off in Samus' spacecraft towards the last known location of the brain, Dinosaur Planet. They bump into Starfox along the way, whom escorts their ship. When they arrive, they discover the entire world has been infected by swarms of flood converted piranha plants. When all hope seems lost against the endless swarm, a fat figure in purple and yellow shoes up and farts, killing everyone including our heroes. But they are then resurrected by Zelda, who came from the Twilight Realm and brought with her the only beings powerful enough to vanquish Mother Brain; the combined forces of Ganandorf, The Covenant, Emperor Andross, and the Frieza Force. There is a absolutely massive battle that occurs and it is a stalemate until Darth Bane shows up and detonates the Thotbomb, trapping all of them, good and bad, into a never-ending torture black hole device. The dark lord then calmly takes his lightsaber out, stabs himself in the heart and collapses, with his last words uttered being, "I've done what you asked. Please, just don't let the world forget that the man named Epstein did not kill himself."

Dunno if it will be "the" big announcement, but I'm predicting that Microsoft will make Gamepass free for a certain period for those who purchase series X/S.

It makes sense on a couple of levels. If the users keep the service, then that suits MS's purpose in the long run. And, it allows them to effectively reduce the price of the XBox SX. They could advertise that you can play hundreds of games on day one without any additional purchase. Especially if that's combined with XCloud, that could make an effective value proposition.
