Well if you think about it, you can pay $600 (Not 700) and get the console and enjoy it for a year, the games, and the movies (Like I did/have, although I got mine a week or two after launch). Or you can wait a year for a price drop and have some great games pass you by because they are no longer in the top spot on games list and somewhat forgotten.

Simply put that extra $100, or $200 is worth it because you get to have the console so much longer as price drops usually dont come too fast.

So I say fuck you to you for dissing on early adopters when apparently you are not old enough to understand the value of anything.

You know username, you really are starting to piss me off with your hate comments towards innocent people like me.

First off, the PS3 was 700 bucks for the 60gb model IN CANADA OK? research before you make stupid comments ok man?

Second of all, I said

"I say fuck you to these people who complain. Its your fault you bought it for 700 bucks when you couldve just" waited.

To those people who complain  about how they got "ripped off" I am not dissing early adopters, I am just saying that I dont agree with what they are doing. Is that a problem? I said to times in my opening statement that its your choice if you want to be an early adopter or not.

Yes I am 15 and most would think I am a stupid kid who knows nothing about money or value. You are toally wrong and all the other people who think so.

You see my dad makes good money, about 80 000 a year. He has the house covered etc etc, and he could buy me a ps3 etc etc. He doesnt. Why? He wants me to learn the value of things and money.

I have a paper route and I referee soccer games for my cash. Most kids my age from what ive seen dont do this, they just ask their parents for money. My dad makes me buy my own games, pay for my own soccer, pay for most of my clothing. That is how he teahces me the value you of money. Im not a spolied brat like many otehr kids.

I work hard for what I buy, which is why I am very careful with what I buy. Im have an investment, which all goes planned, I should have 50 000 bucks in 20 years.

I take great care of the things I bought with my own money. I will not let anyone borrow my PS3 games, maybe one of my close friends or thats it.

Maybe you should read properly and find out info about things before you make silly comments like that. You fail.

The best time to buy a console is in its third or fourth year when its at a more affordable price and there is like a library of over 1000 games to choose from. I have regretted buying an N64 at launch it was like half price within 6 months.

Judging from the performance of this generation of consoles, being an early adoptor brought unnecessary concerns. Early adoptors of the 360 were shafted when it came to reliability as well as lacking features the system later included. Early adoptors of the PS3 were shafted on lack of software and rumble. I don't include price or console for the 60GB console is hands-down the best SKU by Sony this gen and the price got you a future-proof blu-ray player and solid backwards compatibility. Early Nintendo adoptors got the shaft by...nope...Nintendo owners didn't get the shaft from pricing, library or future versions of the console including something newer models have that the original didn't. Screw you Nintendo fans! (lol, j/k, pat yourself on the back, you got a solid, reliable piece of gaming equipment) One thing is for sure, I won't be buying the next Xbox system (shafted early 360 adoptor), and I'll be cautious about Sony, but if Nintendo can one-up what they did this gen, I'll be a Nintendo man again.

All you touch and all you see is all your life will ever be.

The Wii was the first console that I've ever bought myself, also the first item I've actually waited outside for a store to open for to get, and has been well worth getting early (Jan 21) simply due to how it's still difficult to find and the number of good games its had.

No more Heroes, Metroid Prime 3, Brawl and Twilight Princess alone have already given me about double to triple what my investment was worth, and Every other game I've gotten just adds to it.

In some ways, at least for the Wii, it was practically a cultural movement. It wasn't just a matter of getting the latest console, it was a matter of getting the latest experience. With the other consoles, you saw the graphics, and as long as you could share screenshots, you really weren't missing out on much. With Wii, the experience itself was utterly different. Some may have hated it, some may have loved it, some may think waggle is the same as button mash, but it IS DIFFERENT.

I remember I had originally thought that Zelda had a mirror image option to let you play left handed and as if it was still from the gamecube, but still using the Wiimote, but it turned out there wasn't an option for that. That was actually 80% of the reason is because I wanted to confirm that for myself; I was really involved in the debate and discussion on the Wii, but I was all my arguments were speculation based until I could get one of my own.

Seppukuties is like LBP Lite, on crack. Play it already!

Currently wrapped up in: Half Life, Portal, and User Created Source Mods
Games I want: (Wii)Mario Kart, Okami, Bully, Conduit,  No More Heroes 2 (GC) Eternal Darkness, Killer7, (PS2) Ico, God of War1&2, Legacy of Kain: SR2&Defiance

My Prediction: Wii will be achieve 48% market share by the end of 2008, and will achieve 50% by the end of june of 09. Prediction Failed.

Yet Nintendo fans are always complaining about the crap library, and what about the SSBB "Dust problem" Nintendo did handle it well, but still, "My game doesnt work because of dust".

Anyways, if it weren't for early adopters so many things would have failed, and technology advancement would have come to a crawl.

No. I'm not an early adopter. If it looks interesting I'll usually be part of the second wave. I've waited in line for an hour or so for a movie but never longer unless it was part of my job.

I got mine on December 25, 2006.
