When I think of Africa these days it's Zimbabwe that comes to mind because it's been in the news so much. I still find it hard to believe that a country could have 80 percent unemployment, shortages of food, 165,000 percent inflation, and the ruling party is still able to bully everyone into allowing things to continue on their disastrous course. The Soviet Union collapsed on far far less than that yet this country is also supposed to be a democracy.

That, and the denial of that fact.

Well to be honest I think of poor black people with AIDS. I think of violence and hunger. I would never, ever, ever go to Africa.
