dont wanna get my hopes up cos iv been tracking D3 for years :(

i still occasionally play D2 mods - only problem is that private severs have so few members...it just becomes discouraging.

regular D2 is fine and all, but D2 without maphack feels painful. someone at blizzard should make a D2 update that just takes a the modded apoc D2 client (improved stash size, 20 characters per account, free maphack, extra items) and just turn that into a the next patch (with permission from the modders of course, not that i think they would mind, assuming blizz would host the servers).

meh..one can hope.

also, i would pay 150 bucks for D3 if it meant no monthly cost. considering how often ive been known to return to the game...

It better be pc exlcusive. Blizzard console games suck, yes I own starcraft 64.

If starcraft 2 gets released this year I would love to take a look at their profits. WOW + starcraft 2 = them buying a new island so they can survive the zombie holocaust.

@Dragonos; yeah, the 1.11 patch is brilliant, lends a whole new way of playing and a heap of items! Bosses are tougher and TP is outta there (town portal for the unititated).

Diablo 3 come on Blizzard show us what the hell are you hiddin' ? we can't wait 6 years aren't enough !!

I have never played a Diablo, only Starcraft and Warcraft.

Except playing Diablo 2 now would kinda be... weird I guess.
So much has happened in terms of gaming to go back and play an old game like that, you'd think it would be a lame game.
The part that made it awesome in my opinion is playing on the battle.net servers and joining parties and fighting together. If you would join these servers now, it's full of dummy spam accounts and no one hardly plays anymore :/

I still have fun playing D2 (expansion) occasionally, though I haven't played MP in a long time. I still have my D2 Collector's Edition (bigass box!) that I bought on day one, hehe. Too bad all the characters I had back in the day on battle.net are all gone. :( Anyway, I've been waiting years for D3. (Starcraft 2 also, but D3 even more :) )

I just replayed Diablo 2, 1year ago still addicting as hell ! And thats not including online just lan play with my brother both got to lvl 60 me (barbarian) and him(necro). I believe with them releasing Star Craft 2 soon .....either Diablo 3 or another Warcraft is near . Hopefully Diablo 3 ^_^

Diablo 2 is amazing, whoever hasn't played it I feel sorry for.
