Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

Probably but will it be the PS4/Pro version or upgraded? I don't see why Sony didn't let everyone know Fortnite will be at launch like they did with GTAO or maybe they did and I missed it.

Aloy looks a bit older too.

Character models are still the least exciting thing about Horizon.

On that front ND is beating GG even with PS4 vs PS5.

I hope facial animations are A LOT better this time, whatever they tried last time should hopefully not come back on H2.

Everything else is as impressive as I expected.

Loving to see more wildlife on Horizon, and hopefully we get more cool bots like the ones they already showed.

Tortoise and Mamoth looks dope af.

If you zoom into full-screen the detail is absolutely bonkers. Her hair, and the fact that you can literally see individual strands of hair poking out. The subsurface scattering on the skin looks way more natural.. not to mention the materials and shaders on the clothing.

Not discounting the work of ND, TLOU 2 looks stunning but this is another level. And this is still WIP, the final game will look even better!

And yeah, it just looks like they've upped the scope of density of the game, so excited for this one.

I may be wrong, but art direction seems to play a part of how the Horizon character models look. didn't Kojima mention when asked about his chose of the decima engine that they would be going for a more realistic look in comparison to Horizons more stylistic presentation.

Research shows Video games  help make you smarter, so why am I an idiot

I'm still on the fence on this one. Ratchet and Clank is really worth picking it up.
But here I am still hoping that more games will also come to PC. I already put "Stray" on my wishlist on Steam. HZD 1 still needs a release date. And HZD2 will eventually also come to PC. The only reason for me to buy a PS5 is for the games that will stay exclusive and also keep me interested.

All I can do as of now is keep waiting until launch and see what will happen.

It was a good presentation. I'm not a fan of the console design and I will definitely wait for a Slim version like always, but still a good show all in all. My highlights were Resident Evil VIII and Kena. I think it's good that so many Paystation IPs get new games like Gran Turismo, Sackboy/LBP, Ratchet & Clank, and Horizon 2. Then some remakes with Hitman 3 and Demon's Souls, hmm ok cool I guess. Destruction Allstars feels like a reimagining of Destruction Derby to me, I don't know, which is a good thing for certain. It adds to the variety, just like that Oddworld game. Cool for fans of those. Kena is definitely the one game that stood out the most for me, I want to see more of that.

I liked that there was a lot of variety in the genres and there was certainly something for everybody to be found. The show started very low for me with GTA V. Wow. Slow claps, Rockstar. Like, veeeery slow claps... The sad thing is that this will probably still sell several millions of units, which makes me puke a little, but oh well, it is what it is. But then the show got better and all in all it was good. However, I would have liked even more gameplay, it was way too little for me.

I feel like the graphics are a bit better, no doubt, but I haven't seen anything so far that is truly next gen, especially nothing at all that couldn't be done on the XSX either, but then again, I don't value graphics very high anyway. I just want to see more gameplay.

This really hurts when something like Miles Morales Spider-Man, one of the few games shown to be a launch or early title, had very little gameplay, and is now confirmed as an expansion. Rather misleading.

Not even sure why Square Enix turned up. Guess they just like reminding people they exist. Can't put any stock into what they showed.

Don`t need to show gameplay on it, it is the same engine as SM, being a standalone expansion like Lost Legacy, Left Behind and Second Light, but with improvements made to PS5.

Was I the only one noticing there was no mention on backward compatibility and a very strong focus on "next generation" in the final speech?

Because the show was all about new games, there are still plenty of shows Sony is going to put forward.

And you see from the reactions that even putting GTA V on the reveal received a lot of bad reactions.

Dat looks goooood!

WOW! It's a real proper remake, amazing, need to play it. If it is a PS5 exclusive, with no release for PS4, this will bring a few million PS5 units sales from Dark SOuls fans

From the trailler seems like PS5 exclusive

It wasn't PR.

3D audio is pretty darn good when it works.

Just for some reason, it doesn't really seem like it was here. Despite the blog announcement saying that it would be.  So I don't know if the games just didn't really have it implemented despite the promise, or something else.

I have seen that demo before. Like I said, binaural audio with some good mix as Dolby Atmos has been doing for ages.

Although, obviously, if the sound chip can be used to incentive developers to use more sources, that'll be great already. But I just don't think many third parties will bother and will do everything in the CPU with whatever thread there is to spare.

There is no CPU involved, there is a specific part of the chip for the 3D Audio Tempest so not implementing good sound won`t have any impact on freeing CPU. the audio tempest also draw directly from the SSD so no impact in the RAM or I/O.

The major digital version problem will be the shit ass small SSD. Put 3 games on it and it's full. It will be a major problem for digital only people who will need to invest in the SSDs that are allowed on the PS5 much sooner than the physical users.

If streaming the whole game the whole time isn`t a problem to you, having to uninstall games and redownload them shouldn`t be a major problem.

There is a big difference between pushing one button and stream a game in seconds to downloading and stalling it before playing.

With cloud you have limitless storage and instant access to you all your games. With PS5 digital edition you have to manage that tiny storage with a half dozen games you can download and install on it.

Unless the person is very oddly organized he won`t delete the game he is going to play in sequence. You can hold probably 10 games on the SSD without any issue and that is more than enough to keep the games you are playing at the moment. Unless you are one of those people that play dozen games simultaneously (I only play one, at most it could happen to have 3 games in progress) then the size of the SSD won`t be a problem.
