Forums - Gaming Discussion - Sega real big announment actually "Fog Gaming ", An Arcade Cloud system for local arcade. It's really big it will replace local arcade

What do you think

Actually this is big if a... 1 4.55%

DO people still play arcade ? 8 36.36%

Maybe in Japan 10 45.45%

This is big for Asia 2 9.09%

I am in, i still playing ... 1 4.55%

Total:22

I think if they had changed their name to "SEGA Malcom X": that would have been global bombshell.
No more pandemic news... everybody would be talking SEGA Malcom X, even your grandmother.
But it's just Fog Arcades, nobody cares, sounds un-necessarily dangerous with pandemic and all...

That's actually interesting.
But will you have to pay tokens to play it so arcades can keep making money? If so then it sounds silly.

Would actually have been interesting for me if I lived in Japan.

On the other hand, maybe this could lead to a revivial of arcades? If they are not used locally the games would then be getting streamed instead. I loved arcades back then, an I really miss them these days, would be nice if they could make a comeback with this.

Edit: This would also be perfect for their name. After all, SEGA stands for SErvice GAmes...

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

I find this announcement interesting, but that's because I find any development in the arcade scene to be interesting. I realize it is a small niche platform at this point. But I do whatever I can to play the small number of arcade games still available around here.
