We've seen many examples where crises (pandemics, terrorist attacks, etc.) have resulted in populations collectively supporting leading figures. Have you considered that the reason why people aren't uniting behind the current potus could have something to do with the way he handles the crisis?

There are a lot of people who played themselves on tv shows who don't have an imdb page. 

He's uncredited in them and it says "archive footage"

So apparently he's an actor but his first role was as a police officer in archive footage of him killing a dude.
