LOL, if Google or Amazon or Tencent bought Sega LMAO i prefer they bought by Microsoft instead . But i hope it's not about acquisition at all, but about handled, AR/VR or something else. 

Looking back at the dreamcast controller, maybe it will be a third party peripheral which mimics the Wii U's offscreen mode. So an in house portable machine for PS5/XSX using better technology than wifi (currently used in remote play)

That wouldn't in any way justify this much anticipated scoop. If it is new hardware, it should be something forward looking. I see a lot of uncontested market share in the handheld space nowadays. Let's keep in mind the handheld market has been a 100M+ device segment for multiple generations.

Fuck it, I'm gonna dream even further... with Sony leaving a lane open for several years now, why not some partnership with Sega to support a new handheld? Let's go crazy... why not finally a real handheld that can work as a phone, with physical controls? Third parties and SEGA supporting it with games, most of the ones still coming to Switch, better hardware, maybe with one of the new AMD mobile apus and here we go! Some connection to PS Now for game streaming as well... let's do this!

Nah, that's not it for sure. Sega Sammy is publicly traded, and I don't know there's just a small group of majority shareholders that would have sold their stock and keep it quiet for weeks. That's not how markets work.

I mean it should really just be taken as Sega is going to announce something unexpected and significant for them. Thats my expectation.

I would love for something to upset this industry again. A new player, someone falling out, SEGA making a triumphant return would certainly qualify. It's been long and smooth sailing long enough.
