As someone who already beat it what incentive do I have to play it again?

Give money to a dev/ip you like

Fair enough. I know I’m the minority on this one but I’ve always preferred Saints Row to GTA. I’ve always liked it’s crazier style.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Not all, Mickey's Castle of Illusion for example is quite a jump from the original, Persona 5 have a lot of added content, etc.

But if we are thinking strictly about remasters as the ones with improved resolution and only that, then yes the question is valid for all of them.

But Persona 5 Royal isn't a remaster, although it does add PS4 Pro support (finally) lol. And yeah I'm strictly speaking about remasters, not remakes or definitive editions

Well I would consider remaster due to them improving the game when making it PS4 only. But yes no problem you not considering. Most current remasters put also DLC and other additional content on it.

Finally fired it up this morning. Not sure if I'm gonna keep it. Game looks good but there's some weird things going on with lip sync and facial animations. Kinda off-putting.

This is my favorite SR game, so I definitely picked it up. Having a blast playing it again. It's crazy how much work went into it. Hopefully, they do the same for SR4, cause that port job was trash. Really no visual enhancements at all, except maybe a resolution boost. Didn't even add AA. Oh, and if you bought the port, it better be only $10 to download the remastered patch.

Either version looks fine to me, from a graphical point of view, too bad they're boring af.

It is good when a remaster of a game you like is done with a lot of care and love so you can have a blast replaying it.
