Why the hate for remasters, we got this and we Will get xenoblade soon. Remasters are great.

because it isnt new content, for the time they spend on this they could have made a whole city for saints row 5 or release it a year earlier

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

Dude, it was done by a diferent studio like most remasters

does that remove the fact they still could have made a city for a NEW GAME? no

A new game with new voice actors, new soundtrack and licensing, assets, story, engine, etc. Sure.

Hey, why renovate your house? The time it takes to fix up that bathroom, you could have a whole new house.

Actually yes. Remasters work is quite different than making a full game or even a portion of a game.

It is like when people complain of day one patches or dlcs, they are developed by different type of professionals. Game development timeline make a lot of jobs having a different work load along time.

As someone who already beat it what incentive do I have to play it again?

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Lol ya, hence they tend to be a hard sell for me. I didn’t bother to look into what it does but from what I’m hearing more effort went into this then the average remaster

Not all, Mickey's Castle of Illusion for example is quite a jump from the original, Persona 5 have a lot of added content, etc.

But if we are thinking strictly about remasters as the ones with improved resolution and only that, then yes the question is valid for all of them.
