Forums - Movies & TV - After weeks of rumors, Snyder Cut of Justice League confirmed for HBO Max in 2021

Well, that's nice I guess. I just don't see how anything less than a complete overhaul of the story and most of the characters could fix the film, and a new differently edited version of the same mess we already got is not going to be enough to salvage it.

I feel that this is just going to confirm what people already should know. That the film which exists in your imagination is always going to be better than what actually exists.

I'm confident the movie will still be bad. That said, it will probably be better than the theatrical cut. Only because how could it be worse?

Justice League was the worst of Snyder's narrative incoherence and loud, stupefying action, mixed with a lot of last-minute revisions and tonal changes that destroyed any sense of continuity or cohesion. With this director's cut, we still get all of Snyder's bad instincts but at least the production will unfold according to a single vision.

By having more of it.

Probably one of the few Superhero movies I dropped halfway through.

Yeah, I don't see how this makes the movie any better.
