Why are people getting upseet at this not being able to run as well on xsx? This was built to highlight ps5 features. The xsx could have its own demo highlighting its best features and would probably be janky on ps5.

At people trying to call tim bought by Sony or trying to say the xsx ssd is as capable as Sony. You should really get of the trenches as there is no need for it. Both consoles will offer diferent upgrades.

stop being ignorant, its nowhere said it doesnt run aswell or worse...

The PlayStation 5 has a huge amount of GPU power, but also a greatly improved bandwidth for access to the storage medium. That is going to be really critical, "said Keighley. He explains the importance of this." It is one thing to be able to render everything in memory. However, it only becomes really impressive if you can render a huge world that is several gigabytes in size. In addition, the new M.2 Solid-State drive from Sony comes into play. "

According to Keighley, the SSD used by Sony is so fast that there is currently no model on the commercial market for sale that can compete with it. He even goes so far as to say that the PlayStation 5 is at the forefront of the PC market and will encourage them to use faster SSDs. That is highly unusual, normally consoles lag behind what is possible in PCs, partly because of the cost of a console.

does this mention the XSX? no,so please stop

I was gona reply with the article or Tim sweenys exact words but they have already been posted and you have deliberately ignored them and even try adding things I have said even while I said xsx will do some things better than ps5. So I'm guessing you are not willing to listen. If it hurts you personally that the Xbox is not better in every way then you have really nothing else going on for you.

To be fair PS3 and 360 were better than Gaming PCs of the era in some ways like the multicore CPU and such. They were still pretty good in 2007/8. It does seem PS5/XSX feel the closest to a big leap like 360/PS3 even if it's only the SSD.

Then why did PC's always held the graphical edge for the entire 7th gen if that was the case?

Even in 2006 when Oblivion came out and showcased what the Xbox 360 could do, it still looked and ran better on PC.

PC games are always that "step up" over console games.

When console gamers were gaming on the Playstation 2, PC gamers were using Tessellation in games... A hardware feature that wouldn't be standard until the Playstation 4 came out.
And you think the consoles were better than a gaming PC? Common.

I think people think of average PC on these claims not the highest end.

Microsoft has not showed anything, they just showed Sanua in engine , which is not a gameplay nor the actual look on the final build, also it's not using Unreal Engine 5. Instead it's just old Unreal Engine. Unreal 5 =/= Unreal 4

Well, to be fair, having a newer engine doesnt automatically make a game look better. At the end of the day it will come down to the developers and what they do with the engine. Need an example? MK11 running in UE3 while MvC:Infinite runs on UE4.

Would this demo run on my PC with a RTX 2070 Super? Yes, according to Libreri, and I should get "pretty good" performance. For comparison, the PlayStation 5 GPU the demo video was captured on achieves 10.28 teraflops, while the RTX 2070 Super hits just over 9 teraflops.

Regarding loading and streaming, though, Sweeney says that the PlayStation 5's SSD architecture is "god-tier" and "pretty far ahead of PCs," but that you should still get "awesome performance" with an NVMe SSD, which I'm using."

Teraflops isn't everything. Thought we were over that bridge now... :/.

Errr...  Why are you talking about teraflops here?

Even a mid-range PC of 2006 was still running Oblivion better than the XBox 360 and that held true for most games.

Agree , it all depend on how good the developer is and how big the resource is (human, budget, time) and of course experience.

Well I hadn't access to the same kind of information and users in here as I have today so if I were to talk about my experience it would be that PS3 was doing things impossible on PC. But if you claim average PCs in 2006 were already outperforming X360 I'll believe you. From the E3 at the time I remember AMD and NVidia claiming the GPU on those consoles were like 3x more powerfull than their most powerfull GPU on PC.

I see..

But we were not really talking about teraflops there. I thought the bolded letters highlighted what was the important part of the quote.

Are people ready for those shitty godawful cringe worthy Youtube videos of Zelda/Mario in UE5 with "real" graphics?
