All right, thanks.
I misspoke. UK only. But it looks like the Wii might be getting under-tracked overall in "others/Europe".

Well, it did double them combined. Wii sales beat both 360 and PS3 sales.

dude what the hell are you talking about? 376k + 297k = 673k, 578k does not equal 673. And they said MORE than combined.

If you add 15% to wii and take off 15% from PS3 then wii is more than 2x PS3. No way to say which source is more accurate, but if you assume they are both within 10%...

While I am happy to mistrust NPD sometimes because oftentimes it's numbers don't make sense, Chart-Track and GFK are considerably more trustworthy and track a lot more of the market than NPD does, (I think both are 90%+) so although VGC may be 15% out I doubt Chart Track could be more than 3-4%, after all they only have to estimate for about 10% of the market, which is likely mostly independant stores.
@Outlawauron, I think you may have miscalculated.

The article actually states Wii more than doubled PS3 numbers, so that gives a bigger discrepancy between Wii and PS3.
There is some more news about the UK market:

UK Enjoys Record-Breaking First Quarter Sales
According to sales monitor ChartTrack, the UK videogames industry is celebrating the most lucrative first quarter in its history.
Retailers generated £418.4m across all software, while a total of 17.89m units were sold. Market value jumped by over £100m year-on year, from £317m during Q1 2007, while total unit sales leapt by more than two million.
Sega’s Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games was the top title over the course of the last three months, racking up more than one million sales since its release at the end of 2007, with Activision’s Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare second and Brain Training third.
MCV has full, in-depth look at the UK market during the first quarter.
So Mario&Sonic is above 1M now between the Wii and DS version, but given the DS version hasn't reached platinum status yet at least 700k of those sales are for the Wii version which seems to be destined to reach Diamond status in the UK.
