UK Enjoys Record-Breaking First Quarter Sales
According to sales monitor ChartTrack, the UK videogames industry is celebrating the most lucrative first quarter in its history.
Retailers generated £418.4m across all software, while a total of 17.89m units were sold. Market value jumped by over £100m year-on year, from £317m during Q1 2007, while total unit sales leapt by more than two million.
Sega’s Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games was the top title over the course of the last three months, racking up more than one million sales since its release at the end of 2007, with Activision’s Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare second and Brain Training third.

So Mario&Sonic is above 1M now between the Wii and DS version, but given the DS version hasn't reached platinum status yet at least 700k of those sales are for the Wii version which seems to be destined to reach Diamond status in the UK.
