Slow days. Especially for Monster Hunter.

Yay, I'm beginning to believe Sunbreak won't do as well as Iceborne did back with World.

Funny to see that COMG also sold copies of Xenoblade 2. Seems like some are still running wild in Japan or like here, a reprint has been going around as well.

Why do you think so? As far as I understand the game that is charting is the orginal game plus the expansion on one cartridge. The expansion itself is only sold digitally as otherwise licensing on the switch wouldn't work. We don't know what the demand for the DLC is as in general it is digital only.

This physical version is only attractive for people that don't own rise yet and collectors.

And thus officially ends the streak at 18 days for which a Sony console knowingly did not gain at least a single point.   That is an exceptionally unexpected streak given the Sony leaning nature of COMG's audience (at least historically).

That's also the most action in the bottom half of the chart in a while.

Yet, it is still an indicator of interest. So far if memory serves, the physical edition of Iceborne had more demand than Sunbreak's edition.

Of course, there's no sure way to know the interest for those who already own the base game so the ultimate answers will only be known once Capcom unveil them.

Still to me, this doesn't bode well

COMG has only had the PS5 version of The Centennial Case charting while Tsutaya has the Switch version at 6th, the PS4 version at 9th and the PS5 version barely charted at 20th and GEO has the Switch version at 7th with the others not showing up in the top 10.

A very weird performance by this game on COMG.

This isn't directed at anyone in particular but I've seen several messages about this game's performance at COMG. As the OP of this thread I have only one thing to say: We're talking about 1 to 2 sales here for each version. I've seen this being called a "massive outlier" by COMG and the implication by some is that again, COMG is not reliable because this <10k seller isn't ranking in the expected Switch > PS4 > PS5 order.

People need to relax and take this for what it is. This is the only retailer chart (both pre-orders and sales) that we get numbers for. For the upper region of sales (10+ generally) it's noticeably more accurate and this is where top sellers and major new games end up anyway.
I can only roll my eyes at people who dismiss these charts because a game's ratio was x800 and not x1300 like it's prequel or something when the general ballpark of x1000 is more accurate than most people's predictions, not to mention that people often base their predictions on the pre-order charts to begin with.

This is a very slow week with the #20 game selling just one copy. At this point everything is just statistical noise. That's just what happens when you have a small sample size + slow week. What this tells us that the Centennial Case isn't an overperformer and nothing else. There is no need to draw detailed impressions from the sales chart for this game.

I know that, I was just pointing this out. I personally just take COMG as a reference point.
