Forums - Sales Discussion - COMG! Japan Pre-Order Chart

Pokemon Legends is going to be an interesting one to watch. I mean it's presumably the only new "mainline?/major?" pokemon game we're going to get for a while, it looks like a game that takes more effort to make than Sword/Shield and game freak aren't big enough to work on this and gen9 in any meaningful way at the same time.

I think a lot of it is going to come down to it's reception at launch.

I think PLA's preorders are going to pick up at the end of this month or early January when we'll get to see more of it. Maybe it's going to show up in a Pokémon direct before launch.

PLA also had the fact another pokemon game released right before. Feel like people are not ready to preorder a new pokemon game just yet when they are already playing one. I do think it might not match the sales of BDSP in Japan but i feel like it will surpass it in Europe and in the US

I think on the combined SKU chart the delta for the PS4 version of Sophie should be +7? (Yesterday had it at 8)

Good day for Elden Ring.

It's a good fight between the PS4 and PS5 version of Elden Ring, all tied up now.

The LE version of Elden Ring looks a bit expensive...

Yes, it's $194. Even for limited editions in Japan this very expensive.

It will be interesting to see how much it picks up in January, but I think the real thing it's going to come down to is legs, which isn't usual for Pokemon games because they usually sell very fast at the beginning and have very little legs. (though SW/SH has had much better legs than most Pokemon games)

I think the big thing is going to be week 2 drop, Legends Arceus needs good reception and word of mouth to propel it from a 10m+ seller to a potential 15-20m+ seller. I don't think it'll necessarily have the best first week but if it's received well I can see it selling great when it comes to the distance.

Wonder how much 2042 was discounted to get that big a jump in sales.

Also evergreens with big increases across the board. 300k+ Switches sold this week is definitely in play.
