Leave my boy Radek alone.

PS4 still doing good. I can't wait to see Final Fantasy VII Remake / The Last Of Us Part. 2 / Ghost Of Tsushima and all impact + price drop.

Are we really expecting a large impact from these games at this point?  As in there is a large swatch of people that haven't bought a PS4 and are simply waiting for these very specific games?

Yes we are expecting it. Half of the planet wants Final Fantasy VII Remake. The World is not ready for this game. Coronavirus is not ready for it neither.

Why is it only in Japan?

Maybe because there's the biggest demand there? Idk

Idk. Like in the last couple weeks all 3 regions have been somewhat close to each other.

From what I understand the Switch consoles that are destined to EU and NA are made somewhere else so they are not affected.

Edit: Read up a bit on it and last summer they moved some production to Vietnam.

“For the past several years, we have been exploring options for assembling product in Vietnam to diversify our manufacturing options," the company said in a statement to USA TODAY. "While we will continue to manufacture Nintendo Switch consoles in China, we will also gradually begin to manufacture a portion of our consoles in Vietnam, starting this summer.”

Thank God for that move or else the situation would be much worse.

Oh wow. That was a good move from them. It will be interesting if they will expand more in Vietnam by the end of the year.

Well, also because they're coming off a stronger year in 2019 compared to this time last year. And in spite of a looming pandemic that's already strangling a good chunk of their production.
