I could have sworn last quarter they adjusted it up to 20m. But you're right, they didn't change it in October, still 18m. Wow.

I see 2 reasons for not having updated it to 19 or 20.

1) To impress and make some hype if they close their forecast within only 3 quarters

2) To not have to decrease the forecast from FY2020 and FY2021, from 20M they would take a risk to announce again 20, which would mean they admit that they won't do more anymore, they could fail it by a million...Announcing 19 from 20 would mean also that the peak is behind.

From 18 they can propose then a safe 18,5 or 19 for the following fiscal year (FY2021).

Switch now more than double PS4 for the week.

So PS4 was overtracked nearly 50% in Japan cos Famitsu took a week off. Shows how hard it is to estimate numbers without such outlets I suppose.
