Stalker 2 is nowhere near release, Lol.

Behind the Scenes footage, not new gameplay it seems, probably just gonna get some in-game screenshots.

Just as I said way back when it appeared on Xbox Showcase, it's not the game to be released soon. Definitely not a 2021, and I wouldn't even be surprised if it ends up being not a 2022 release either. We would be lucky to see the real gameplay footage this year.

About Xbox Live, bad move IMO. Xbox Live is a better brand, and I don't really see a lot of people associating it with Gold anyway. If anything, MS should really just drop Gold at this point if they have some concerns that someone might think that XBL is not a free service.

One thing about using mods to boost Skyrim to 60 fps. It means you can no longer unlock achievements, while with FPS boost you will be able to. I was playing Skyrim without mods, so I can get achievements. The 60 fps is noticeable over the 30 fps that it was before.

There's a work around for that. Basically, you download and activate only the mod for running 60fps, restart the game, then deactivate the mod. Something like that. Keeps the game at 60, but without the game thinking you're using mods, and disabling chievos.

Guess, that's what I'll be doing then. I mostly use my monitor to play which had VRR and will smooth out almost all the drops.

Do you know if it stays in 60fps after being closed and started again via quick resume?

XboxEra Podcast, Episode 49.

WindowsCentral employee was on it, mentioned that Game Pass deals from his understanding as usually done months in advance (so Outriders wasn't a recently made decision), Shpeshal_Ed said from talking to indies there is a queue/wait list, he also said that this won't be the last big 3rd party day one release on Game Pass, this year.

Not exactly matching that description (maybe?) but they should try to get Back 4 Blood day one into Game Pass, I remember there was a rumour once that Microsoft was trying to acquire Turtle Rock, if Back 4 Blood is any good then maybe they should go back with a better offer.

After the WarHammer:Darktide and Outriders deals then I think that Back4Blood would be a good guess.

Ed also said that Sony have money-hatted more games.

New Vegas -> Fallout 3 -> Fallout76 -> Fallout 4.

Both Fallout 1 & 2 were something else back in a day, I played them both many times. But I don't want to compare them to others, they're different and I'd imagine they'd be awful to play today.

I tried 60fps mode on FO76 and it does improve the game a lot. Yeah resolution gets noticeably blurry but smooth gameplay is more important.

At least, shipping is free for 1330$. That's a nice gesture.

Fallout 4 -> Fallout New Vegas -> Fallout 3 -> Fallout 76 -> Fallout 2 -> Fallout 1.

I really like Fallout 4, if I there will be a tie it is between Fallout 3 and New Vegas.
I really play games for the mechanics more than the story which may explain why I prefer them in order (with new stuff added etc..).
But for Fallout 76, at some point it felt (to me at least) that you needed to be grouped to enjoy the end game and that's what I did not like about it. I want Fallout to be solo.

Fore the poll 2 > New Vegas > 3 >1
Not played 4 or 76 yet so can't rank them.

Finished Valkyria Chronicles 4.

I played and finished the first Valkyria Chronicles back in the PS3 days so this wasn't my first game in the series.

Despite there being two more games in between, there aren't a lot of changes from the original formula.
That would be my biggest issue with the game. It's very very similar to the first game. On a graphical level it looks pretty much identical (now with higher resolution obviously) and there aren't many additions in gameplay.
Gameplay is still excellent though and there are some useful additions (Grenadier class). Mission design is very diverse so even if the gameplay is mostly the same, you have to adapt to different winning conditions and hazards which makes the game never boring.

Story-wise I think it's funny that I played 18 hours of the campaign without a single reference of a Valkyria. Pretty sure that happened much much earlier in the first VC game.
Other than that the story is quite interesting. I like that there's not one evil side and one good side (even though one seems to be more evil) but that even your own "good" side uses morally questionable methods to win the war.

The game has a ton of content. It took me roughly 35 hours to complete the campaign and there are still lots of side stories (Squad stories) and a dozen or more skirmishes left to play.

Overall an excellent title and I still hope for a sequel even when the sales are probably pretty low. 9/10.

How many turns did the last battle take for you, just curious?

My  only complain was that you have to replay some missions, including the last one, on hard difficulty to get the true ending. Other than that i really enjoyed it and got all the achievements.
