Nice. I knew you were a big Bethesda fan but I didn't know you had been a fan for so long. My first RPG was KOTOR 2, bought it after seeing somebody else play it at their house. Still one of my all-time favorite RPG's, alongside Witcher 3, Skyrim, Kingdom Hearts 2, and Fallout 3. Oblivion was my 3rd RPG I think, after KOTOR 1 and 2, was the first game I bought for my 360. |
I've always been into all kinds of RPGs, but after FFVIII I pretty much stuck to the JRPG bandwagon until what I considered its "high point" (Tales of Vesperia on 360) and changed back after the Tales series confirmed the quality decay with Graces F. Thankfully, Skyrim was out and about and I literally marathoned Morrowind and Oblivion before playing them. Then I played a modded Gothic and went "what the hell was I thinking?!" when I left WRPGs for JRPGs.
The only JRPG of note I've actually liked this gen was... SURPRISE! Final Fantasy XV, which as you might have already heard, I consider "the "true" Final Fantasy". XVI and above all smell like they are going to be reboots.

Considering that Jez and Ed both teased Persona on Xbox one day apart from each other, I definitely think it's coincidence that the 2 days announcement that the Xbox employee teased is the same day as the Square show. They both must have got wind of something happening with Persona soon. Either that or we are truly fortunate and are getting both a big Square game announcement Thursday and Persona on Gamepass in the next few weeks. |

Also, today I learned that "we've got a dam hole" in the Xbox One library. So this thankfully is no longer as worrisome. No need to worry about a "curation breach" because we just had one and Persona had nothing to do with it... Urrrrgggghhh! I can only hope the XSX doesn't fall in the same trap. OTOH, it's not as catastrophic as with the Sony systems since this "breach" happened near the Xbox One's End of Life and unlike Sony which allows this stuff to fester, Microsoft has a penchant for putting their consoles out of commission right away.
Still sad this happened... this means my side project needs more effort so I can claim the Xbox Visual Novel space for the "galge band" and plant our flag there before other, less demographically conscious devs do so.
OK, I asked this question on Reddit, but what would you guys think of seeing an eroge on the Xbox One and Series S/X? Played through Dev Mode, of course.
