Also, I'm trying to take into account that Bethesda is still acting as its own publishing division, it isn't under Xbox Game Studios but sits alongside it, Starfield for example will likely be published by Bethesda and not Xbox Game Studios, as will any future titles they develop.

Xbox Originals > Random Xbox Logo

They'll still have "Xbox Console Exclusive" on the box-art at least, but eh I still think Xbox Originals is cool and helps branding, Netflix Originals means content only on Netflix, folk will adjust to the idea quickly that Xbox Originals means content only available on Xbox Services.

This is the only thing that makes me think that Bethesda games might end up being multiplats after all. Why wouldn't they publish those games under the Xbox brand? For the life of me, I can't think of any reason.

Not only that but they need a lil info tab to explain to casuals that these games (Xbox Originals) wont ever leave gamepass

Yup, partly the reason I think they'll be Timed at best. I guess we'll find out soon lol

What I like most about the acquisitions is that it ensures the Xbox brand is not going bye-bye anytime soon. Their future foothold in the gaming market is only strengthening and healthy competition breeds a less abused consumer.

MS doesn't need to call anytXbox Originals. They changed the branding of Microsoft Studios to Xbox Game Studios a few years back and they have Marvel esque intro for each of their games now. Tbat alone tells gamers its from an Xbox studio or 2nd party studio.

Latest Xbox Sale has some good RPGs for cheap if anyone has an RPG itch

Shining Resonance Refrain - $7.49

Valkyria Chronicles 4 - $11.99

Valkyria Revolution - $7.49

Ys Origins - $7.99

Granted these games been on sale a few times but these are the lowest prices I've seen for them, going to pick up Shining.

Buttt It'll be super helpful to casuals (and non-hardcore gamers) to know which games arent leaving and are from Xbox without launching the game or scrolling in menus to find the dev/pub. People need to know in a single glance which games are exclusive and pushing Gamepass.

When I look through Netflix I dont know what is original content unless i watch the first few seconds.

I like the Xbox originals idea. They should a little banner or ribbon on the box art to show that too, so that when you're browsing gamepass, you immediately recognize that it's "exclusive". "Gamepass originals" would also work.

Also, the branding does need to be more consistent. Here is an example of a non gaming website still calling it xcloud:

https://www.xda-developers.com/microsoft-xcloud-web-browser-test-look/

So I'm sure mainstream gamers would also be confused as to what's what.

Hope someone at Xbox is paying attention to the Twitter mock ups. Xbox has a growing stable under Xbox Studios and it would be great to proudly showcase them

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.
