Hmm.. spinoff it was and story felt soulless, but I don't recall there being too many Horde sections. I remember one where you fought a Berserker and waves of enemies,  it was cool. Gameplay was polished and declassified missions added challenge and depth.

Versus was the main issue. It would have been a very good shooter, as it was quite polished and smooth, but it was just too different for a Gears game. It played like a fast-paced run 'n gun shooter.

Overrun was brilliant and popular. I played it hundreds of matches. Still can't understand why TC didn't bring it back. But then again, I can hardly understand any of their decisions atm.

I didn't even complete the first act but every chapter I played was like this.
Get to point A, prepare for enemies, kill 3 waves, move to point B repeat. There was nothing else. Stopped playing after enduring the same thing 3 or 4 times.

Yeah it had atleast a horde kind of level in every chapter, (and people complained the game had no horde mode).
Gears 4 had also those horde levels with fabricator.

I enjoyed the smooth gameplay tho, the ability to jump from ledges felt good and the visuals were great in judgement. Also the DLC was nice.  For a short development time and a team that had not made a gears it was better than expected.

I'm familiar with him, he had alot of Borderlands 3 coverage pre-release.

I wasn't really feeling Bleeding Edge when it was first announced, but I've warmed up on it a bit now. Still not a game that I would buy most likely, but I will definitely try it on Gamepass.

I'm with you here. I wouldn't spend money on the game, but I will give it a try on Game Pass.

Moot point though. I wouldn't spend money on any singular MS game anymore lol

Same here. It still doesn't look like a game I'd buy but I'll give it a shot on GP. Hopefully it's good, I need an online game to play at work :P

Oh and I completed my first game of 2020 - Control. I really enjoyed it and love how it is connected to Alan Wake (and maybe Quantum Break?). I'd love to see an Alan Wake 2 with Alan gaining similar powers to Jesse in Control.

Yup It's heavily connected to Alan Wake, especially if you find all hidden locations and collectibles. I think Alan will appear in upcoming dlc, looking forward to it. Maybe even meet Jesse.

I don't agree with Alan Wake having super powers though. They don't have to turn AW into QB and Control, it wouldn't feel right.

Just purchased The Sinking City and Samurai Shodown, just waiting for GreedFall, Code Vein & Surge 2 to drop in price and I will have every major release (that I’m interested in) that released in 2019.

I don’t think that I have done that ever in my nearly 20 years of gaming.

Last Phantasy Star I played was on Gamecube? I think? I really enjoyed it, wonder if I still would.

I played all different ones but the GameCube card game was so much fun and different from any other card game or MMO. The game made me buy the GameCube network adapter :)

Phantasy Star Online Episode III: C.A.R.D. Revolution

I would love to see another game like that.

You've met an unfortunate fate haven't you?

Ryuu did and oopsie.

When I called for Ryuu's impeachment, never in my wildest dreams did I expect him to axe himself. Fantastic.

Wow alot of replies here from the last 2 days, but anyway I vote for Gears 2.
