Voted SSD as well because that's would be the most noticeable upgrade actually. Framerate comes in second and graphics fidelity is the last because we are already approaching the line where technical capabilities are way too advanced for the devs to properly utiliize them without increasing budgets dramatically.

I feel like achievements need to be changed. Would be nice to get some kind of "platinum" like PS has, and wow so many problems this gen with glitches for achievements. I'm not sure if this is a MS thing or a developer thing. I know Kingdoms of Amalur is currently having issues (glad I waited on that one). Doubt we will get any changes with achievements.

It was rumored two years ago that MS works on reworking achievements. Seems like it got scrapped.

Seems people overreacted when Ubisoft said "at least 30 fps" for AC Valhalla on XSX a few months ago. Clearly Ubisoft was still optimizing the game at the time and wasn't sure yet that they could hit 60 fps, but now they are.

I was pretty disappointed given the hardware but 30fps though for a 3rd person open world game, it's acceptable.

Poor Ubisoft. Post bullshots, get crucified. Low ball to temper expectations, crucified.

Get that Halo Infinite beta up for launch (open beta) and they'll be fine, it was already rumoured to be launching before the campaign anyway which suggests it was further along than the campaign.

Gears Tactics + AC Valhalla is good for me, plus there's a few interesting looking AA titles, then Cyberpunk is like a week later.

Halo Infinite launch in Q1 2021 would be enough to keep the momentum going. Both next-gen consoles will be sold out through the end of 2020. What is important is the continued lineup of games in 2021 and further.

Agreed. I think it will even help XseX in the long run.

I have heard rumours of a holiday 2021 release for Halo though... They were talking about it on podcast unlocked about 2 weeks or so ago. Doesn't make sense with the footage we've seen.

Voted for fidelity. Coming from an xbox one s to a series x is a massive jump. I'm glad I didn't dish out on an X1X and I've been tempted so many times...

Now I just have to buy a monitor to do it justice... Monitors are so far behind when it comes to price/functionality ratio. You can get an acceptable 4k HDR TV for $500 these days. Try getting a decent 4K monitor with the same HDR verification.... No chance. :-

They will release Halo Infinite when it is ready. I'd rather sooner, but than again I don't want to play a broken game when it launches.

Given the confidence in Halo they showed at it''s reveal... I think it more or less is ready. At least the single player campaign is.

Seems as though Ray-tracing missing really hurt the look of it and multiplayer might not be ready yet.

I still have my fingers crossed for a beta on Nov. 10.

I wonder if they'll lock it behind gamepass... I would personally... (flame shield activated. )

After playing AC Unity are the ones after it focused so much on stealth? I hate stealth, so this has been a little annoying for me to finish. I find the controls pretty stiff at times, forget trying to enter windows in this game. Overall story is bland, with the typical revenge tale. When the parkour works it is nice to traverse. The city itself is impressive and the crowds are great for a 2015 title.

I heard new AC games are very different, hopefully that means less stealth.

AC Unity was the 2nd to last old-school AC game, after it came Syndicate (which is a fantastic game, better than Unity, but still plays alot like it). Then after that Ubisoft took a break from yearly releases, and then released AC Origins. Origins was indeed a big revamp for the series. Gone was the focus on the counter-attack combat system that was popular with so many late 2000's, early 2010's games (including classic AC, Sleeping Dogs, Batman Arkham, and Shadow of Mordor), replaced instead with a more action RPG like combat system that feels like some kind of hybrid of Witcher 3 and Souls (but much easier than Souls), focused on blocking and dodging more so than timing counter attacks with on-screen prompts. The open world was reshaped to have Witcher 3 style exploration and sidequests. Stealth was toned down some and combat was given heavier emphasis. Odyssey then added player character choice and more RPG like dialogue options. Valhalla is adding even more RPG elements, like enhanced character customization.

The revamp proved controversial with some classic AC fans, but the newer action-RPG focus also won over many new fans, making AC Origins and Odyssey 2 of the best-selling games in the whole series, selling much more than Unity and Syndicate, the final 2 classic AC games. If you liked Witcher 3 but didn't like AC Unity much, then I do recommend playing AC Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla, because all 3 are very Witcher 3 like.

I mean I'd say this game is a 7.8 for me. I'm not big on stealth, but it's good for me to try different types of genres. Never finished an Ass Creed game until this one. Overall a lot of my points stands, but I might be willing to try Syndicate... And yeah I think i will definitely look into Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla if they are more RPG focused. Maybe even Black Flag, as I heard that was good.

Yeah, Black Flag is worth playing as well. The ones before that, not so much, they all feel quite dated now.

Can you tell me how much stealth is in Black Flag, Origins, and Syndicate? I just mainly hate the tailing missions. I heard Unity had less (thank God), but I really did enjoy the assassination missions in Unity, did open up the game nice for choices.

Also.. do any of the recent AC games have better like hit detection? Like this game could really use some decapitations. When you slice someone with the sword it looks pretty bad with the animations. I wonder if they improved on that.

Yeah, I remember feeling like they took a few steps back from the 360. The badge thing was cute, if they expanded on that, like put a badge next to games you’ve completed and be able to pin like 10 of your proudest completions to ur profile for anyone to view. Also there’s so many achievements this gen in games... viewing achievements is almost unbearable And I almost always just go to TA. They need to have multiple different styles you can choose from so I can see more achievements on screen and less scrolling.

Those would probably be my most wanted two things to add. Also make it so everyone’s achievements are not hidden :)

Black Flag, while being an overall excellent game, has a LOT of tailing missions. Especially early on, if I recall correctly.

Origins has pretty much none of this, and is generally very light on stealth.

Only played a little bit of Syndicate, so not sure on that one.

Did they mention region lock? Seems like getting a japanese series x could save you +- 100 euro minus shipping
