That's a good point. If they don't have Horizon 5 releasing in 2021 or early 2022, they could literally not have any Forza Horizon game on the market when Horizon 4 gets delisted September 2022. If Motorsport reboot is 2022, then Horizon 5 pretty much has to be 2021. Rather they will announce it this year, I can't say, they may save it for next E3 and then release it in September 2021, but I'm personally hoping they'll move Forza releases to Spring in the future, and if Horizon 5 is a Spring 2021 release, there is a good chance of an announce at Gamescom or XO20, by The Game Awards 2020 at the latest. |
I'm MOSTLY... BSing about it being this year, but idk... It's been two years since the other came out, it's most likely similar engine too. And by the last two games, they were able to have a trailer and release it the same year. Obviously they wouldn't release it this year, but showing it off even just a Blur (MS pls buy Blur lol) trailer with the setting named would be great IMO.
I'd love more Spring releases, but MS has this stupid mentality of releasing all their gang busters during the August-November rush. Sony has proven you do not need to do that, and it benefits you to release stuff in the drier months and let big 3rd parties like COD and Ass Creed to release in the Fall/Holiday.
IN the end, I feel they will most likely save it till next E3, hopefully it's back... and then unfortunately release it in the Fall :/
I am glad they are taking their time with Motorsport. Less microtransactions pls... series desperately needed a soft "reboot." Taking the 8 off might help, who knows.
