I still don't get why Phantom Dust wasn't just given to the original creator, Yukio. It was never intended to be some huge AAA JPRG, that was Ken Lobb making a silly slip-up, rumours pointed towards it having a very small budget which Microsoft didn't want to increase on, Lol, I think the studio working on it was a western one too.

Microsoft really needs to just, fund Japanese developers and stay out the way as much as possible which is why I thought setting up an XGP Japan would be better, actually hiring someone from that region to run it, rather than some American person cause I feel like sometimes they just don't 'get it'

That's how you know how bad the management was at the time, they give the game to a no name studio in Florida with a small budget and announce it at E3 with a cinematic trailer that the team itself did not know about and then you have the Ken Lobb interview mentioning the scope of the game that freaked the team out even more. How did they not give it to Grounding and the original creator when the relationship was already there?? They literally made a launch title for XB1 with Crimson Dragon.

I'm glad that those days are behind us but imo there is zero reason for MS not to properly revive both Phantom Dust and Scalebound for XSX.

Can anyone see Halo 6 end up in the CoD sales spectrum?

Na, Gamepass.

Should clear 10 million though.

Bruh, I can’t stand Kamya. That baldie needs to release more bangers and stfu!

Kinda hard to compare the two with Gamepass. I absolutely do think it has a chance to be as popular though given there’s 10m GP Members, it’ll be on steam, xcloud? Halo is in position to give CoD a challenge, that is if 343 delivers.

Honestly I blame the publishers more than Phil. Phil shouldn’t have to deep throat to get these games, it’s not like Xbox is a totally obscure platform. The ports would certainly pay for themselves.

Facts! No reason that Persona even if it sold 100K on Xbox, that would still be a profit. And I'm sure it would be more than that, but Atlus is picky. Yakuza is a good direction, but we need to continue to get more. FF being money hatted is annoying af though.

Games go where the gamers are. #JustStatingFacts

Shouldn't you be port begging for some trash? GTFO :sonic:

I swear every time I play through the original halo trilogy I get a newfound Respect for it. I’m instantly reminded of how great they are even to this day. I’m both excited and worried to see Infinite this Thursday. I really hope they can capture what made Halo so good, and stop trying to turn it into another franchise.

Great to know it’s all hands on deck to finish Halo Infinite. More good news.

- Halo Infinite needs to be complete day 1. No delayed releases of essential features
- Forza shouldn’t be this year. Have it next year to compete with GT7

The Series X launch is stacked enough. Halo Infinite, with Gears Tactics and Flight SIM probably making their console debut at launch. Coupled with Medium and Scorn and enhanced Xbox One high profile games that’s enough for 2020. The battle is 2021 and beyond, gotta keep momentum going.

I mean it sucks we have to wait a weird amount of time for the next Forzas, but the break will do then good and practically guarantees a 90 metascore for each.

The way I see it is "something not dead" can mean one of two things:

1. A dormant IP like Fable, Perfect Dark, or Banjo is being revived. (we basically already know at least 1 of those 3 is being revived, with a good chance of 2 of them being revived)

2. An XB1 project we thought was dead like the new Phantom Dust or Scalebound is being revived.

Can't be Fable or Perfect Dark, they've openly spoken about both them projects before, this title he was refusing to give any hints at all towards because his source told him not to.

Fable seems kinda leaky, Lol, Alanah mentioned that at least 5 different Microsoft employees have told her it's legit.

I think Banjo, Killer Instinct or Scalebound could be possibilities given the wording, those would both match "ridiculously exciting" for a lot of people and IPs we believe are dead, insiders keep telling us KI is dead for now.

Given these comments prompted Kamiya to speak up, I have the distinct impression the IP in question might indeed be Scalebound, but Kamiya feels he really can't get a feel of these guys (well duh! They changed the rules less than two years ago!).

Totally agree and I would say the same about Gears. Although at this point I'm be okay if the went all-in in turning Gears into another franchise, ditch co-op, include more rpg elements, dialogue options and stuff. Or go for true Gears of War game, don't care. Just no more of this mess throwing half-baked ideas around.
