Also It would be interested if the Banished worked with Cortana. If they went that route the story would probably flow better. The enemy of my friend is my friend type of thing.

I don't mind waiting until July as long as it's early July.

It would definitely be nice to see Atriox play a major role in Halo Infinite. As I recall, he was actually severely underutilized in Halo Wars 2. Outside of the very cool introduction, I don't remember seeing much of him throughout the game.

Wonder if that’s a general of Atriox, due to him being stranded on the Ark and all. Hope they figure it out with all the time in between

Doesn't really sound like a group that would want to work with Prophet of Truth Version 2 (Cortana)

Also I'm not liking the wording "we are his will, we are his legacy" they better mean that in a broad sense and not that Atriox is dead and they're carrying on his legacy.

Unless he still on the Ark. There would be no way to communicate there unless the portals work again.

After how much Halo fans hated the story and having Cortana as the villain in Halo 5, I'm not surprised they decided to have the Banished in Halo Infinite.

Imo Cortana being a villain in Halo 5 isn't a reason why the game isnt received well. She ended up being a really interesting villain.

Yeah, that makes sense and what I'm going with now, disappointing but at least he isn't dead.

On the more optimistic side, it's The Ark and surely it would make sense for Cortana to eventually set her sights on The Ark?

Eventually, it’s purpose to make new rings and shut them down once activated. If she needs to do neither then she is more pre occupied with controlling the factions within the galaxy. Based on the Infinite trailer, looks like they may need to make another ring (possible motivation).

Idk if I should be the one to tell Ryu when Atriox gets killed in a comic prior to the events of Infinite.

Lol I would be fuming, 343 can't be that stupid.

I mean...that's pretty much what I thought once upon a time when you posted about how the didact was still alive, but then got killed off in a comic by Chief and company firing a Halo at him or something.

Clearly can't take anything for granted.

Technically Didact is still 'alive'

He was composed but if I remember correctly they later clarified they aren't yet done with him, only his body was destroyed but he was composed (like the Prometheans are composed humans) so his soul or whatever is still around, there's unused Halo 5 concept art showing Didact in a robot body.

It'd still stupid though, I just don't think we're fully done with him yet.

Still dumb.

I would have loved to actually have a mission in a game where I get to fire a Halo at that jackass. Instead, they put it in a comic. Laaaaame.
