10 days after it's release on steam, Sea of Thieves is 2nd at the top sellers chart with 63.000 concurrent players. Huge success for MS.

Really glad to see this game prove the haters wrong. It’s become something truly special and dare I say it’s up there with their best work in the 90s. 100% SoT has a bigger following and has a higher total player count then their best N64 titles.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

I know it's unlikely that MS will reveal their hand in regards to the price of their new system(s) next month, but I think it would be a good idea to at least end the show on a firm release date, especially if it's maybe a bit closer than people might expect (basically anything earlier than November). I believe that would be as much of a hype moment as the PS5 form reveal.

I still think it still way overpriced at $2 billion without the licences. Insomniac in my opinion is more valuable than any of these studios. For sure I won't go with more than 1.5 billion unless a guaranteed 10 years licence is in place. Companies that will pay around $2 billion are the ones that have a bunch of other studios that are ready to start pumping Batman, Middle Earth and Harry Potter games, EA and Activision come to mind.
A Middle Earth RPG by Bioware would be a dream project.

Respawn is a gold mine that should not be brought up in the same discussion. If EA were able to aquire them for $400-500, they shouldn't pay $100 million for the most expensive one among those 12 studios. I would say not even 50.

Did any of you ever thought how many games they need to sell to recoup those $2 billion? Even with a "out of this world" scenario where they make $10 profit per game sold, for each game they release, they still need to sell 200 million copies.

I completely forgot that there are other events happening outside of the big ones, is there any good place to keep track of all the games that have been announced thus far?

Started a new State of Decay 2 community yesterday. I played it on release, survived for 7 days and then everything went South pretty quickly..got my leader killed when trying to destroy a plague heart.

If anyone here has completed a legacy, I'd appreciate any tips. I'm still a bit clueless what to build and do. I'm on day 4 and learnt a lesson not to attack Juggernauts..nearly got two citizens killed, those are nasty fuckers.

What difficulty are you playing on?

Some advices would be to always carry explosives or molotovs for plague hearts. This should take care of them very fast.

Dont let infestations go out of control.

Take care of your vehicles. No need to run over every zombie you meet.

If you lose a lot of survivors, take it easy till you find other members.

I'm playing on default difficulty, makes me nervous enough.

Thanks, explosives took down a plague heart quickly enough. I almost messed up though, it's difficult to accurately throw stuff with these controls. Especially with Zed jumping on you, nearly blew up my leader with a frag granade.

Infestation control is a good one to remember.

Do you recommend to take down all plague hearts as quickly as possible or work on moving to a bigger base first? Those need minimum of 8 survivors, I only got 5 so far.

Fable :) Would be the best imo. Big surprise at the end of the show (even with plenty of rumors about it so far)

I just need MS to hurry up and tell me when they're gonna do their show already. And it better not be like mid-late July. I am officially sick and tired of waiting to see Halo Infinite. I need to see it now, and it better not fucking disappoint. My receptiveness to literally everything else they do/show depends on this.

Halo as breakfast and Gears 6 as lunch and Fable as dinner with Banjo-Kazooie Hell Unleashes as dessert

Indeed, it seems many have already made up their mind about what they're working on.

There's a reason Phil phrased it the way he did.

Long shot: What if The Initiative is working on 2 IPs (New IP & Perfect Dark - Old IP)?

It'd be kinda funny if it turned out they weren't working on PD.

I never fully understood why everyone was so sure they were working on PD in the first place. Phil said they were working on new things in new ways, "old things" was pretty much tacked on in parenthesis, so it was never the primary focus of the tweet as it was written.
