I see everyone proving me wrong in the size of development teams for the biggest games. It does explain some of those end credits going on and on and on.

Who here remembers having to let the credits play all the way through for the original Fable in order to continue the game after beating the final boss? Good times. Imagine needing to do that nowadays for some of the bigger games. Yikes.

Japanese actress Tsubasa Honda said that she is working on a Microsoft game that will be released in Spring 2021 it seems. Interesting. Reading the google translation of the article, few details about the game are given, though it says this:

This game developer is said to have teamed up with Tsubasa Honda, who revealed at the press conference of LINE Mobile that "the game was a dream," and that Microsoft could support the dream.

  • "Isn't it fun to shoot people from the sky?"
  • "Aiming for a standard that even Matsuco can do"
  • "It would be fun if people could play "I don't know" without playing a game."
  • “We're doing on a scale where we can (release) before spring next year (2021).”

Scalebound confirmed.

I thought about ReCore today, and now I'm sad that we are probably never getting a sequel Only hope is if MS found some new studio to work on a sequel, after the success of the ReCore definitive edition on Gamepass. Level-5 acquired Comcept, and since ReCore DE released, Armature has done Duck Game PS4/Switch ports, an Oculus VR game, and are currently doing to Bayonetta and Vanquish 10th anniversary remasters, and with only 50 devs they are too small to be working on a ReCore 2 also.

So many good Xbox 2nd party games this gen that will likely never get sequels now. Quantum Break, Crimson Dragon, D4, ReCore, Sunset Overdrive, Ryse. I hate it.

ReCore deserves a sequel :( The premise is amazing and I really think they have a nice "core" (no punt intended) to build a amazing franchise around.

They released it in February which means that they are not currently working on anything that we know of

Quantum Break could be pretty sick next gen when I look at the world shifting in R&C on PS5. Just imagine which crazy shit would be possible.

Yeah ReCore was a nice game, especially definitive edition. Shame if it won't get a sequel, I think it could be succesful too.

Ryse and Sunset Overdrive were good but I can live without sequels.

Quantum Break? Makes me want to cry.. it ended on a cliffhanger and the awesome story had so much more potential.

Man I would do almost anything for that to happen.

One of the studios needs to step up and make Recore 2, either Rare, Ninja or Double Fine if they are up to the challenge. You could still bring in Armature to co-develop.

I'm super tempted to buy control for 30 bucks on sale atm, but part of me still wants to hold out for it coming to GamePass like Phil said it would. Decisions decisions...

Asobo + Armature on ReCore 2.

Asobo are already working on a game for Focus Home Interactive and I believe that they only did character models on Recore.
