Ok you convinced me to download it. If I don't have fun it's your fault ;)

Let's not get ahead of ourselves

I do suggest playing in co-op when possible! It's fun solo, but Survival games by definition are much more fun with friends.

Anecdotal but I use Game Pass Family Plan and hand it out to 5 other people, every single person I know who has Game Pass is on Family Plan, they all have 5 people on their plans too, even my grandma, this CAN'T be good for Microsoft, they're surely losing a massive amount of money, how long can they keep this up? Who knows, I for one am very worried for Xbox's future, they can't run on these massive losses forever. I suspect Xbox will increase the price $40 by the end of the year because this is not sustainable.

Going to be really close for day one Game Pass, Lol.

Don't think it'll happen, ABK won't close in time.

Remember the disastrous launch of the XIII remake?
It got a huge update in September and is now considered to be a good game.

So if you were a fan of the original or just want to check out the game (I thought it was awesome back then), you can now buy it without remorse.
It's definitely on my wish list now. (btw. it's currently on sale)

Little bit of paraphrasing.

Halo Infinite

"We've retrenched, we've got some changes in how the team is setup, some changes in the leadership"

Perfect Dark

"In my mind it hasn't been so much leadership changes as it has been building a studio, one of the most difficult things in the last few years has been building a big game during the conditions that we've had, number 2 is trying to start up a new studio, you don't have shared history, people who have worked together, we were doing a lot of experimenting with remote and hybrid, some worked, some didn't, it's less leadership changes and more the work of building a studio"

"We have a full team in The Initiative and Crystal Dynamics, it's what I call co-development, it's not outsourcing, they're an equal partner"

"I think as we chart a path forward for what post pandemic post hybrid work game production starts to look like, that's going to be more of the norm"

"Successful projects we've had, Flight Sim in tight partnership with Asobo but we also have a full team in Redmond, Minecraft Dungeons and the upcoming Minecraft Legends made in partnership with BBL, a partnership between a Redmond studio and a studio in Stockholm, Age of Empires IV built in partnership with Relic, but we have a full team in Redmond"

"It's not a case of Crystal Dynamics taking over or replacing, it's more that they had 100-something people become available who have a great pedigree of working on Tomb Raider, people that we know who we worked with, they're available, they're excited about working on Perfect Dark, they not going to sign up to work on something they're not excited about"

"To me it's more about a part of how you build a game team nowadays, as opposed to some sign of trying to compensate, I think we're going to see more and more of tight co-development going forward"

So pretty much what you where saying in that other thread. Clearly you where right.

Why is that though? I understand working with support studios like SkyBox Labs, but where did all these major co-development partners come from? And with how many studios Xbox owns, it’s just odd that studios need support from major studios.

Thanks for the info I will probably pick it up now.

Well, the Xbox Game Pass Twitter actually tweeted about Pentiment. That tells me one thing though. Xbox views this game as more Game Pass fodder than a major first-party release, and that’s saddening to see.

Friends and family its very cheap if you could get 5 friends to share it with you. I mean that works out at like €3 something a month between 5 people sharing.
