I do wonder if Sony is being a bit short-sighted though.

Call me naive but I don't think Microsoft will ever remove COD from PlayStation, I think it's a Minecraft scenario, as for Diablo V or Overwatch 3, they'd both be years away, so Sony is really just losing some new IPs from Blizzard and possibly Crash/Spyro and even at minimum, Sony has until 2027 to come up with an alternative and adapt.

What happens if Sony plays a part in blocking the deal? Activision-Blizzard's stock is likely going to take a nosedive, which will piss off the shareholders and board, likely sour their relationship with Sony and what is stopping Microsoft from just outbidding Sony for COD marketing? I think Microsoft will be fairly annoyed too.

Then what comes after that? Microsoft is clearly in it for the long haul, they want to make Game Pass a massive success, hence the huge acquisition, they'll likely instead go for a bunch of studios and a couple other smaller publishers, ones which would both easily pass regulation and have zero issue in yanking all their IPs from PlayStation and making them exclusive, companies that the internet will be far louder about, Lol.

I think exactly the same, in fact got in a fair bit of argument in this article, but every time I brought Minecraft as a way to explain my position I had either no reply or a reply that try to somehow discredit Minecraft as a valid example of Microsoft way of handling franchise with CoD level of popularity.

The things is, even if Microsoft does not need to recoup the investment as it will still hold an equivalent value in assets from the transactions, it still need to act appropriately as to maintain the value of said assets. CoD value would be impossible to maintain without future PS ports.

This guy is probably the only gaming YouTuber that I 100% trust his opinions on, and my god Gotham Knights is probably not even bargain bin for me it apparently feels like a live service game even though it's not. The flop of Avengers made have forced the developers to pivot away from what they were working on mid development.

A Plague Tale Requiem is a lengthy game, I've just started Cht 11/16 after 16.5hrs and this isn't even my NG+ collectables playthrough. For reference a 1000G' the first game in 24hrs.

Ride The Chariot || Games Complete ‘24 Edition

My last predictions for the HCS season *cries*

1. Optic - they're just too strong, felt like aPG stepped up massive last event and was my personal MVP

2. Sentinels - disappointing 4th place finish but there's a reason why half the casters think they'll win, historic roster.

3. FaZe - admittedly a wild card at this point, a mental heavy team. If they have momentum, I can see them making it far but if Sparty or Ren get checked out it's GG

4. C9 - I have to place em here, technically the best placings all season with 1st,1st,2nd, and 2nd. At all major lans. Why are they 4th on my list? They looked incredibly scrappy last event and just haven't seen that c9 dominancy since KC.

5. eUnited - I feel like they could swap places with FaZe on this list, they looked pretty good at Orlando and I think they'll finish the season strong with a 4/5th finish.

6.G1 - bubu take my dubus! G1 hype kinda died after the online super but they're still a solid squad. They're playstyle reminds me of Optic, just Optic better.

7. Acend - Gunna show the EU some love for Ryuu's sake, I could see them placing as high as 5/6 if they're playing the same way they did at the online super.

8. G2/Native - G2 been on fire since picking up Barcode. Native (old KCP) always a threat, just a stacked tournament.

Today is the start of the big one! Time for HCS spam!
