So Sean W just put out a video that is definitely going to start catching peoples attention.
He's now claiming to have seen hard evidence that the Halo Battle Royale is seeing heavy delays as it's supposed to be transitioning to a new engine. Presumably Unreal Engine. So it's either going to be a standalone experience, or tied to an entirely new Halo game. That the BR is now expected for a 2025 release.
Also, 343 is correcting Brad Sams claims that Bonnie Ross was fired and reached out to Sean W to say that she truly did leave due to a family matter. She had planned to leave the company later on, but a family matter sped up the process. So the timing was just coincidence. But also, the shakeup of Pierre taking over as Head of 343 not being as major of a shakeup that we're thinking. In terms of saving Infinite's live service. Idk how I missed this, but there were news articles at the end of 2020, around August, that Pierre did join the Halo Infinite team as the project lead on their FTP experience. So he's been heading Infinite's live service for 2 years now.
But also that Bonnie Ross will return to take over Activision Blizzard once the deal finalizes. Replacing Kotick.
Also that The Endless campaign Joe Staten is working on, will not be in the Slipspace engine, but will be in Unreal alongside the BR. Based on trademarks, it's now being speculated that The Endless will be a new game entirely, and that's why Infinite's live service content entirely is just crap and they're so slow. Most likely Joe Staten, Pierre, etc. are focused on development of this new game.
