I think you may have misunderstood me. In the other thread you referenced, you quoted a sarcastic quote and ran with it. Bashed Xbox and Xbox games and then came to this thread to let us know you bashed Xbox. I gave you the benefit of the doubt of being sarcastic, just doing it wrong. But first said if you were being serious then smack and face palm. I didn't mean to offend if I did. Still not sure what your intentions were though.

Says Xbox studios are the least original but then proceeds to type and list several Xbox studios that he finds to be unique and original, makes total sense.
You stated that "most of MS IP can be cloned" The three you've listed CoD, Flight Sim, and Sea of Thieves are all highly successful and two of them face no serious competition from whatever clones exist (SoT and Flight Sim). I'd hardly say those three games account for "most" of Xbox's IPs.
Edit: Yes, I am aware Xbox doesn't actually own CoD yet. But he listed it as one of the easily cloned games so I'm just including it. Also, I'm not trying to come off as combative or anything, comment just made no sense. Most of Xbox studios (even including Activision/Blizzard) is full of unique games.

So, I'm honestly not even sure how much it would help Halo's player base at this stage. 343 is in desperate need for a 2nd location, ideally in either Texas, Canada or California though it looks like they're still on a hiring freeze, meh. |
Let's go ahead an not put this on the engine, aye? Aside from the fact that we're talking about the same team that needs to scrap split screen co-op, despite fans being able to make it work at home no problem...infection is literally just spawning one dude with a sword, and making sure everyone who dies via sword also spawns with a sword, and switches teams. Like, come on...it's not some herculean undertaking. And if you wanna tell me "oh but 343 have these huge ambitious plans for making Infection bigger and better than ever!" Ok...cool...but what exactly would be the problem with just putting the simple classic everyone knows and loves in the game right now, then replacing, or supplementing it later?
I'm sorry but 343 really needs to come out and explain to us why the can't do some of these things, cus at this point, they just look mindblowingly incompetent.

Bots can use swords. Bots can use guns. Bots can be added and removed from teams mid game. How could it possibly be an issue? And for the rest of it. Players switching teams and such...you said yourself, this engine is just an "upgrade" from the same old Halo engine we've had since the dawn of time. And we've had Infection as a game mode for ages. Like how massively would they need to have fucked the engine, that they now can't do something as simple as have people wack each other with swords and getting thrown on the other team when they die, without having like 2 years or something to figure it out?
No, I don't actually believe that every single employee at 343 is incompetent, but I'd REALLY love to hear an in depth, no punches pulled, complete honesty/transparency explanation from someone over there as to why even these things seem like they oughta be SUPER simple are beyond our reach. Is it just for the purpose of stringing players along due to the live service nature of the game? Are you holding things back because the game isn't currently in the state you'd like? Are there simply not enough people working on content, period? Is everyone just pulling overtime on the engine, code, etc. to address underlying issues in the way of everything? Is certain content, like Infection, not prioritized at all because it lacks a competitive aspect?
What in the world is going on with this game? Because outside of the fact that the Forge team is doing a PHENOMINAL job, you can't help but look at literally every other aspect and wonder...wtf is happening there?
