Far Cry New Dawn is -75% I see.. I just finished FC5 main campaign and it was pretty great. Loved the scenery, characters, story etc and despite Ubisoft-style huge map with shitload of side quests it didn't feel too repetitive.

I read Joseph Seed's story continues in New Dawn. Anyone played it? Is it worth buying?

Story-wise I'd say yes as it is indeed a continuation of FC5.

While the map is identical, the landscape looks different enough. There are also a few cool weapons to use. Other than that it's your typical Far Cry.

I'd still say it's not the best FC spin-off. That title goes to Primal.

Primal is the only Far Cry I had played before. It was alright but didn't really make me want to play others in the series. I don't even remember the story anymore. Far Cry 5 offered something to remember, what an ending and main villain!

I'll check out New Dawn after playing FC5 dlc stuff.

Did anyone read that Microsoft claimed that ABK doesn't develop any "must have" games? I think it was in New Zealand.

Exact quote was "There is nothing unique about the video games developed and published by Activision Blizzard that is a ‘must have’ for rival PC and console video game distributors that give rise to a foreclosure concern,"

Sounds like a factually correct statement to me.

Then you should rather play some of the other FC games first. 3, 4 and Blood Dragon (maybe 6 as well, Idk only one I haven't played). After that you'll likely grow tired of the formula.

I think it was mentioned in that Joe Staten interview that they're currently not focusing on making as much money right now and focusing on fixing the game. That Phil and Matt were okay with this. It definitely seems to be the case as I check the shop every week just because, and you can tell 343 isn't really trying lol.

Which I'm fine with tbh. Imagine how much backlash there would be if the game is getting miniscule updates at best but the shop is just flourishing every week.

Also, I wish assassination's would already be in the game! I finally was able to flank this camper in BTB and it would've been sooooooo much more satisfying to perform an assassination on him rather than a simple melee to the back

I don't think they've been mentioned once since launch when it was announced that they weren't gonna be there initially.

I agree I wish that they would have kept assassinations in the game.

Blood Dragon looks cool but it doesn't have fps boost unfortunately. Far Cry 3 maybe, the actor playing Vaas was great in Better Call Saul. So was Giancarlo Esposito of course.
