Gotcha! If that's the case, Microsoft really didn't take the gaming division all that seriously all these years then if Xbox is only now getting positions made that would make them as part of Microsoft's overall business strategy.

Damn I was told MS was going to need like 10 years plus to make back this Activision money.

They will have recouped the cost of that purchase by the end of this year before its even final lol. It's insane to think they literally had $70 billion sitting in the bank! I think last I read that Microsoft still has another $70 billion in cash on hand after purchasing AB lol. 

This makes the question when Phil was asked if ESVI was Xbox/PC only if they would be able to recoup their money from their ZeniMax purchase even sillier lol

Phil Spencer did say that once the deal closes that the AB business would reporting directly to him, so it's up to him if CoD would continue to be multiplat.

This sounds just about right. Sony marketing deal or not - CoD 2023 has zero chance to be exclusive to Xbox anyway. Microsoft will have no word on it's exclusivity status until June 2023 the earliest and at that point the game which is developed on 3 year cycle will be almost ready for October, November release as usual. Microsoft won't cancel the almost complete Playstation versions 4 months before the release. It just doesn't make any sense.

That's like not even fair lol.
