So each individual game would have its own individual app, but still would be streamed like any other xCloud game? That is insanely stupid and freaking Apple lol
Lets be honest, Apple does not want any streaming service on the App Store, especially for games until they do it first. Even still, they will make sure that everyone else has to jump through hurdles to get something up that will have a user experience so bad that no one would use those services but instead use Apple. Its nothing anyone can do because its Apple eco system and they control it with an iron fist. MS might put some of their first party games on there but Gamepass will always need to use the Edge browser on IOS.
Turning the geometry quality to low makes it playable again outside. I have min and max fps set to 72, which it reaches but frame pacing issues are still rampant. It's a lot better than the 16 fps I was getting before. Mouse look restored and driving is semi do-able.
Looks a bit rough, at least insides still look great
I can not drive in this game. The Scorpion insists on going where the camera / turret is pointing. It keeps overriding my wasd input making it extremely hard to navigate while tracking enemies with the turret. What were they thinking!
There is movement assisted steering (Checked) which lets you use A and D for steering but you can't turn off it wanting to go where the turret is pointing. W and S (forward/backward) also depend on the camera orientation. I can't drive it with a controller either. /facepalm.
Do I need to do something with the Marines I 'rescue' or are they merely cannon fodder? :)
The tree pop in is really terrible in this game tbh. It's especially noticeable when flying. Don't get the sense that slipspace is particularly great tbh. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love the art style, and the game is certainly pretty in many respects...but the game has some weird stuff going on. I know it's cross-gen, but certain things should really be better. Like wtf is up with the weird ass facial animations, and those bulging eyes? Why is tree pop in so ridiculous when they're already fairly sparse, and also kinda basic texture wise? Why does the whole night sky abruptly turn to fog when I fly up too high?
I'm enjoying the game a lot, but I just hope that some of the funkiness on display here is just symptomatic of 343 "building the plane as they fly it," cus I would very much hope that future story/world expansions are presented with a greater level of refinement. Also makes me wonder about the promised weather effects, and ray-tracing, and how those will affect performance. 343 have been so consumed getting this game out the door, I'm genuinely curious to what extent this current representation of slipspace lives up to the goals they had for it. I don't think it was quite ready for prime time, so to speak.
So just upgraded to 1GB internet service and tried to use XCloud again. Before my speed was hitting around 62Mbps now I am getting around 800Mbps. I can definitely say that XCloud on 62Mbps is a stuttering mess but now it was fast enough where playing a game like Doom/Doom Eternal was almost butter smooth. There is still a very slight drop in frames but not enough that it affect gameplay even on a game as fast pace as Doom.
Atlus once again treating Xbox like second class citizens.
Hellblade 2!!!!

Yea...when he said gameplay reveal, I gotta say I was expecting a little bit more than some running and a couple of spear throws.
