I had wanted a PS2 for so long but there were never any in stock for over a year where I lived. My cousin had an Xbox but preferred his PS2, so he sold me his Xbox and it came with Halo CE and Dead or Alive 3. I played…..SO much Halo CE!! Mostly behind my moms back :) but my same cousin told me about some of his friends that were having Halo LAN parties, which I didn’t know what they were lol.
That began a magical relationship between me and this franchise! We went to the Halo 2 midnight launch, and my profile name on this site is what I created as my Xbox LIVE profile name so we could play Halo 2 online and I’ve used it ever since. We still had LAN parties too! I miss those days
I wonder what a poll for Xbox Duke vs Xbox S controller would look like. I found the Duke controller entirely unusable when I was young, and as an adult I still think it looks horrific. But I've seen people online that liked it so perhaps Duke is actually more popular even though I think it's one of the worst controllers I've used.

I wasn't much of a gamer when I bought my first Xbox. I had NES and played games on PC as a kid/early teens but then fell in love with electric guitar. Anyway, my girlfriend had a PS2 and I didn't like it at all, games looked like shit to me. As did every other console I tried until I picked up Xbox :P Max Payne 1&2, Jade Empire, Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth and Fable were something else entirely.
I used to play Gears of War multiplayer on my friend's Xbox 360 but didn't buy one for myself until Fallout 3. And I didn't sign up on Xbox Live until I had to connect my 360 to internet to install updates for Fallout New Vegas. Then I started playing Gears 2 online again and eventually gaming became an important part of my life. It's been a great journey so far and it's all thanks to Xbox :)

I first got into Xbox with the Original back in 2004 (yes at the end of it's life cycle). Halo, Jade Empire, Project Gotham Racing were the big three games that drove me to wanting the OG Xbox. Obviously I've owned every Xbox since then and I look forward to another 20 years of Xbox.
Here we go!
