Another big problem with AOE4. Buildings can glitch through fog of war and appear briefly when moving the camera. So it's easy to find enemy buildings you haven't discovered. This is very problematic for balance/fairness. I like the game but they've fixed literally none of the problems I had and reported back in beta.

That's quite annoying, though I guess maybe not super surprising, considering it was one of those "betas" very close to launch, right? I haven't quite kept up with this game, but I feel like people were talking about the beta not all that long ago. Not very unusual these days to see games ship in basically the same state as their betas.

Early to mid August was the beta I played, I think they did another one in September but I didn't play that one. I'm sure fixes are on the way for these problems but in a lot of ways it still feels like a beta build to me. I've never known an RTS you can't pause in private multiplayer games.

I guess the new box art format is official now, starting with Forza Horizon 5 and Halo Infinite. I hate it. Looked much sleeker with the thin black header from before (ignoring the big green sticker which was never actually used)--

Spoiler!

The big blocky white header stands out too much.

The one on the left looks quite a bit better.

Na, I'm a fan of the new design. Much cleaner. No bulky ass optimised for series X sticker in the Centre of the box covering up the art.

Last checked the thread on 20 December apparently.

Did I miss anything?

starcraft - Playing Games = FUN, Talking about Games = SERIOUS

I preferred the old design myself. The black label looked soooo much better than the white label they're doing now.

^ If a mod can fix my signature centering I'll vote

Also Forza reviews tomorrow. HYPE!

"Games eligible for The Game Awards this year must be available for public consumption on or before November 19, 2021."

I'm slightly curious, if Microsoft released an early access version of Halo Infinite in time, would that make them eligible for The Game Awards or does it have to be the proper full release? Though I strongly doubt it would release 2-3 weeks early anyway, it's almost certainly a few days - a week at most and following the Forza Horizon model.

Microsoft intentionally held back Halo til December so they could win GOTY 2 years in a row.

.......but I would of thought it would need it's official release and the early access will be 4 days most likely as they have done with other games the past few years.
