I respectfully give it a "C".
It looks beautiful, very fluid and yes, fun, but this mix of "small gameplay cuts" with "cinematics" is not good enough.
I mean, they're less than 60 days away and they can't produce 5 min of continuous gameplay without putting in "gameplay chunks" and "cinematics"? With all due respect to the fans, I'm not at all impressed.
They should be able to show more, a good 7-10 min of continuous gameplay with very small number of cuts, not a narrative mix full of "best moments" and Cinematics.

So you find it Beautiful, Fluid and Fun... but give it a C because it is not long enough.. :)

That's why internet polls mean nothing these days!

Hello,
well, it's not a matter of "being long", it's a matter of showing continuous gameplay! I've seen a lot of Cinematics and "Best Moments Cutouts", hard to form an opinion based on that and categorically say it's an "A" or "B"!
Game is only 60 days away from release, and this presentation doesn't seem strong to me, imho, they did something very cinematic and they should show more focus on gamelay. I gave a "C" rating because what they showed looks prettier than in the "first performance", the vehicle interaction in open world looks fun, but they showed so little singleplayer gameplay! 30 seconds of cut followed by "cinematic", another 20 seconds and more cinematic...
It's okay to disagree with me, that's just my humble opinion.

Also, the Pool is going very favorable for the presentation, most are giving an A grade.

edit: let me also make it clear that I'm grading the presentation, not the game. The presentation seemed weak to me due to lack of continuous gameplay, will the game be good? I have no idea based on how little I've seen, but... multiplayer looks pretty good, a lot of multiplayer was shown, looks pretty solid, textures pretty good... some funny bugs, but nothing glaring that can't be fixed with time.

It makes sense to announce it soon. Sony only paid to extend their timed deal for 6 months past the June release of the PS5 version, so it can release on Xbox as soon as January, would make sense to announce it for Xbox soon, like at the anniversary event.

More JRPGs on Xbox is only a good thing. Wouldn't have to buy it on PS5, hopefully Persona will also follow.

I gave up on FF7 remake on Xbox to be honest. Just bought the "upgraded" version on Play Station 5 (this is such a shitty thing from Sony, to have us buy the game AGAIN if you want to the next gen exp...even with some add. content (DLC)) but I really wanted it as I loved the game when I played it on Play Station 4.

Now, would I LOVE to have it on Xbox and grind some achievements with it? Sure... Do I have hope for this happen, no :)

I'm very curious about this as well. Halo has always been reviewed as a great big package, and whether we're talking about one of the better or worse Halo games, they're always some of the most feature rich shooters on the market in terms of the modes provided. Now we have Halo game that, yes, offers a great MP package still, but is charging full price for just the campaign on it's own.

Obviously, GP changes the dynamics of the value proposition these days, because you can go play that campaign for just 10 bucks if you're so inclined, but I'm curious to see how the gaming media approaches that split. Is it still a package review? If I were personally tasked with reviewing it, I gotta say I'd be inclined to separate campaign and MP.

I'm wondering if 343 is thinking since it's the first Halo game to have an open-world, at least semi open-world, has what looks like a somewhat extensive upgrade system, and all these things that they're comparing it, price wise, to a Sony first-party single player game and feel it's worth the price.

If the campaign is about 20+ hours or so with a fun way to make players want to 100% the campaign, I think it'll be worth it. Plus it would be $10 less than Sony's.

Do not forget, Sony isn't the only company that makes open world type of games that only have a single player component.  We have to get out of the mindset that everything is done in response to Sony and think what currently goes for a open world single player game with content and length.

For sure! I'm referencing more of the business model that Sony has definitely championed and is more well known for than other companies. While many companies do still make those open world single player games, many of them include microtransactions while still charging full price with the occasional exception like Jedi Fallen Order from EA.

I am not sure if I would say that Sony has championed open world games as a business model but instead that their studios are very good at producing those types of games.  There are many studios that create such games that the playing field is not defined by Sony by the amount of content on hand.  The good thing is that Sony makes really good open world games so I can agree that their is a bar that must be reach for a high score. Either way, I am interested on 343 take.  Will they take the best of what others have done like Nintendo, Sony, UBI, Rockstar, EA etc, or will they do their own thing and be a combination of old school Halo and new school open world mechanic.

Seirously. I kicked started this and I'm playing it on PC (they gave us a Steam Key even if you selected the Xbox version during kickstarter, now on GamePass). And I really wish they would priotize the console verison but they just said that it won't happen before 2023... They are prioritizing PC for now.

Game is really shapping up to be amazing... I really like it tho.
