Been playing the BF 2042 beta. This has the potential to be the best BF multiplayer. It's really good.

Strongly disagree. It's a mess almost top to bottom atm. There's very little I couldn't find fault with. There IS potential there, but it needs a LOT of work to actually make it shine.

What didn't you like? I'm really enjoying the beta.

Glad you're enjoying it. What didn't I like? A lot....a whole fucking lot....

The UI is a mess. The radar is inexplicably dumb, marking friendlies as red dots whenever they start shooting, which is insanely confusing. There are somehow less attack vehicles than there was in BF3...on 360...with way smaller maps, and way less players. There used to be 2 fighter jets per team, multiple tanks, etc....now each side gets only one of everything. The specialist system sucks ass in literally all the ways...can't tell who's who or what's what. Guns don't provide good feedback, hit detection/registration feels especially bad. Movement is weirdly slow/cumbersome. Getting into any gunner seat of any land vehicle makes the camera shake so damn much you'll get sick if you do it for any prolonged period of time. Destruction is kind of a joke, to the point that if there's a garbage can in the way of my tank, I can't even blow that up...how is it still so weirdly scripted to just a few select structures in 2021? For such an insanely huge map, which makes the flow of action incredibly inconsistent (ranging anywhere from utter chaos to total bore), it's incredibly monotonous...there's barely any standout areas at all. Most of it is FAR too open, making it a complete snipers wet dream, and a bit of pain in the ass for anyone not in a vehicle. There are too many visual glitches to count. The cool tornado that is supposed to appear and wreck havoc, and change up the BF....I've yet to see it even one time, so...lame. And there's more, but you get the point. 

As I said, I'm happy for anyone that's having a good time with it. Hopefully it's everything a lot of people are wanting from a new BF game. Sadly, for me, it's not even close currently. I adore BF3, it's one of my most played games of all time, so I really do have a lot of love for this franchise, but this beta is not it for me. 

Weird seeing Xbox get this ultra niche JRPG games, but not like games from Persona, or Ys.
