What are yall's gaming goals for 2022?

Mine should be to play less

Maybe try a new genre of games I haven't played. Play new series in the Bethesda catalog, keep up an 80% cheevo percentage for all games played (doubt), and play less PS MORE XBOX.

No gaming goals for 2022, just like for any other year before. Don't really feel like making a hobby feel like a work or something, so I'll just continue play the games I wanna play as usual. No completion goals, no achievement hunting and so on.

I think being spot on should be rewarded more than it is right now. Doesn't seem fair that being one point off is 6 and being spot on is 7. Maybe increase it to 8 at least?

  • Spot On - 8
  • Only One Right - 10

Does that seem fair?

Don't make me end on an odd number

Yeah, something like this should be fine. I suppose it would be a better scoring system.

Hopefully I can just start playing more games on regular basis instead of spending more time doing nothing/deciding what to play next than actual gaming. My backlog is getting out of control.

This. Watched way too many YouTube videos instead of playing games. Could've completed so much more during the past two weeks. Played only around 2-3 hours a day (Christmas excluded).

Check out this glitch in AC Valhalla that happened to me earlier today. You'd think that after one year, glitches like this don't exist anymore.

Doing my 2 daily levels in Halo Infinite and this shit is just unplayable today god damn. This games servers fucking blow.

The entire engineering team is probably on vacation this week leaving lower level guys to make sure the servers just don't blow up lol

I just 100% the Halo Infinite campaign! I did a second run for the Forza Veloce achievement, along with the few mission based audio logs I missed, where I only did the main missions on easy with the bandana skull, and the scorpion gun. I think it MAY have taken 3 hours at the most lol. The thing that took the most time was just moving from one main mission to the next.

The only campaign based achievements I haven't unlocked yet are beating the game on Heroic, Legendary, and of course LASO. But I'm not gonna attempt the latter 2 till co-op releases lol

Best 3rd Party Gamepass Release.

Would it be wrong if I voted for a game that I haven't played but fully intend to play, such as Yakuza 6? Idk what to vote for, I've only played one 3rd party GP release so aside from that I would be voting for something that has released into Game Pass but I've played before, like Stardew Valley, Lol.

Yes, that makes you a tool bag pimp. Play your damn games. Unless you voting for Fapuza then go ahead.

I'm a big fan of Diablo type games and just thought I drop some info on this one.  It was ported over from PC to Xbox by I think a small crew or just one guy.  It was optimized for the Xbox One and runs great on a Series S.  I'm not sure if it will be optimized to take advantage of the extra horsepower of the Series X. I know a recent patch has unlocked the 30 FPS so now it can run above that.  This will be a must buy for me, a bit pricey for a port though, but it does include all DLC.  From what I understand, it is quite a bit deeper than Diablo and many consider it to be superior.

...to avoid getting banned for inactivity, I may have to resort to comments that are of a lower overall quality and or beneath my moral standards.

AWESOME GAME! I highly recommend it! I've had it on Steam for some years now, and it's the best Diablo experience you can get by a mile.

There's even devs from the Blizzard North team who made the first 2 Diablo games on Grim Dawn.

Played about 10 hours of Assassin's Creed Valhalla so far and I think I can share my first impressions. I had a lot of fun during the opening of the game when I was still in Norway. At that point, I totally forgot that the majority of the game is set in England. That was the point when the game got worse.

- They need to improve the engine for the next game. Environments are still nice looking but the face models are definitely outdated. They look identical to Odyssey and they have like three different kind of haircuts for each men and women. The animation of some birds are updated at about 15 FPS, some banners at 30 FPS. Those really stand out when the rest is 60 FPS.
Furthermore, I've noticed screen tearing every now and then. Unacceptable for a cross gen game.

- Not the biggest fan of the new fighting system just yet. I'm not even 100% sure what's different from the predecessors but it doesn't feel as fun.

- The way the game is designed, there's basically no need to go for a stealthy approach. There are so many opportunities to raid a place or you get backup during a mission that there's barely a reason to use stealth. You can ignore all enemies as they are busy with you comrades and straight up loot the place and do whatever the mission tells you to do. Even when I was all alone and got noticed inside an enemy's stronghold, I could easily kill 30-40 guards and eventually left because I was bored of the continuous reinforcements. The other games were way harder than that which resulted in stealth being necessary to clear out a place or kill your target.

- I've not uncovered the whole map just yet but England seems way way more boring than Greece and Egypt. Not only does everything look the same (haven't come across any unique sight yet) but the way the whole map is riddled with rivers, it feels like everything is located on small islands.

- All the golden, white and light blue spots on the map and in you're navigation bar at the top of the screen piss me off. Also why does the map have icons that aren't explained in the legend? I've already come across three symbols that don't appear there and I have no idea what they mean.

So yeah the story, dialogue and mission design is probably still the best part of the game and the reason why I'll finish it. But so far I'd definitely put it below Origins and Odyssey.
